Job summary

Saab India’s Jhajjar factory seeks a seasoned Production Leader to supervise daily production, monitor processes, and drive productivity improvements. You will implement Lean, 5S, Kaizen, and Six Sigma practices while ensuring safety, quality, and timely reporting.

A strong background in industrial engineering and 5+ years of leadership in heavy industry is required. You will collaborate with procurement, stores, and maintenance teams, and contribute to cost optimization and process innovation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Electronics or Electrical engineering from a reputed institute.
• 5–8 years in precision engineering manufacturing in defence, chemical or heavy industry, preferably in Europe.
• At least 3 years as a Production Leader in a mid‑sized factory.
• Basic knowledge of machines & equipment electronics; understanding of quality tools.
• Familiarity with CAD, ERP, and manufacturing software; strong English & Hindi communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise daily production activities.
• Monitor production processes to ensure smooth operations.
• Optimize production methods to improve productivity and reduce costs.
• Ensure products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance of production equipment.
• Analyze production data to identify and solve process-related issues.
• Implement Lean, 5S, Kaizen, and Six Sigma practices.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company regulations.
• Prepare production reports and maintain production documentation.
• Train production operators on SOPs.

As a Production Engineering at Saab, you will be located at our factory in Jhajjar. You will have a central role in supporting production and improving work processes for the following responsibilities:

• Plan and supervise daily production activities.

To succeed in the role, we are looking for someone with the following requirements:

• Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech.) in one of these disciplines:
  • Industrial Engineering / Electronics Engineering / Electrical Engineering from any reputed Institute
• A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in a precision engineering manufacturing in Defence, Chemical or Heavy Industry environment, preferably within a European manufacturing facility
• A minimum of 3 years of independent responsibility as a Production Leader in a mid-sized factory.
• Basic knowledge of Machines & Equipment electronics
• Understanding of quality management tools.
• Familiarity with CAD, ERP, and manufacturing software.
• Excellent communication skills in English & Hindi

It is also beneficial if you meet the following requirements;

• Basic knowledge of PLC / HMI programming & Codes (Preferred)
• Basic knowledge of SCADA systems (advantageous)
• Support preventive and predictive maintenance activities
• Plan and monitor production schedules.
• Optimize production capacity and resource utilization.
• Coordinate with procurement, stores, and maintenance teams to ensure uninterrupted production.
