Job summary

Deccan Fine Chemicals in India is seeking a Production Operator responsible for following Line Manager instructions, adhering to safety and LOTO procedures, and executing operations per batch records.

The role requires hands-on operation in a controlled environment, accurate use of DCS, MSDS-based material handling, and proactive collaboration with team members to minimize wastage and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Follows instructions from the Line Manager/Area Manager for production and shift.
• Demonstrates awareness of safety requirements within the work area to identify and elevate potential hazards.
• Understands hazardous energies in equipment, can distinguish energy-isolating or de-energizing devices and can execute LOTO.
• Implements safety precautions during material handling (MSDS).
• Maintains manufacturing process area and environmental monitoring standards and adheres to processes consistently while performing operations.
• Executes manufacturing operations as per batch production records.
• Demonstrates ability to clean / sterilize equipment and changeovers without supervision.
• Adheres to requirements as per written procedures.
• Understands, follows and can explain instructions related to own work areas.
• Understands & executes the processes through DCS in own work area.
• Follows safety norms and adheres with company policy.
• Follows the Quality Policy & Contamination prevention policy of the company.
• Builds relationship with team members and encourages collaboration by sharing knowledge and experiences.
• Continuously acquires new skills related to different aspects of the production cycle and applies them to work.
• Identifies areas to improve efficiency before, after & during the production process in each batch and reduces/optimizes wastage.
• Responsible to work safely in coordination with colleagues.
• Responsible for completing all the applicable trainings on time.
