Job summary

Applied Materials India is seeking a full-time engineer to contribute to reliability testing of modules and systems, and to assist in data analysis and test data generation.

You will participate in test fixture design, design reviews, and engineering meetings to improve reliability; assess failures and drive robust design decisions. Travel up to 10% and relocation are eligible for the role. This position supports ongoing innovation in semiconductor technology within a global leader.

Responsibilities

• Performs testing of modules and systems; assists in statistical analysis of laboratory or field data and spare parts shipments.
• Assists in the design and fabrication of test fixtures and data collection systems.
• Participates in formal design reviews and engineering meetings to drive reliability initiatives.
• Prepares or approves simple product, laboratory or vendor reliability test plans.
• Performs or requests failure analysis of components under test.
• Develops Failure Modes and Effects Analysis and Fault Tree Analysis.
• Performs allocation and modeling of modules and components.
• Assists engineering in selecting reliable components and in using reliable design practices through participation in design reviews and engineering meetings.

Key Responsibilities

• Performs testing of modules and systems, and assists in the statistical analysis of laboratory or field data, and spare parts shipments. May present reliability status updates and reports to project teams and management.
• Assists in the design and fabrication of test fixtures and data collection systems. Participate in formal design reviews and engineering meetings to drive reliability initiatives.
• Prepare or approve simple product, laboratory or vendor reliability test plans.
• Performs or requests failure analysis of components under test.
• Develops Failure Modes and Effects Analysis and Fault Tree Analysis.
