Job description
Job Description

GalaxEye Space is building next-generation Earth Observation (EO) solutions using proprietary multi-sensor technology and advanced data fusion. Our mission is to deliver unprecedented, high-quality, and actionable intelligence through our SAR, Multi-Spectral (MSI), and SyncFused (SAR + MSI fusion) product lines. We are redefining the future of remote sensing.

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly technical and experienced Product Manager to lead the strategy, roadmap, and end-to-end execution of our Earth Observation data products. This role requires deep understanding of remote sensing—especially SAR and optical systems—and strong product leadership to convert complex sensor capabilities into market-ready solutions.

The Product Manager will own the full data product lifecycle, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and customer value across all mission profiles.

Key Responsibilities
1. Product Strategy & Vision
  • Define and lead the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for all data products (raw, Level-1/2 processed, and Level-3+ analytical products).

  • Prioritize initiatives across SAR, MSI, and SyncFused products based on market needs, technical maturity, and business goals.

  • Conduct competitive and market analysis to identify opportunities where GalaxEye’s sensor fusion provides a unique edge.

2. Execution & Delivery
  • Translate requirements into detailed epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria for Data Science, Data Engineering, and Ground Segment teams.

  • Manage the product backlog and oversee agile sprint execution.

  • Lead development of data packaging, formats, delivery mechanisms, APIs, and cloud access pipelines.

3. Market & Customer Engagement
  • Collaborate with Sales and Business Development to collect customer requirements across verticals including defense, infrastructure, and agriculture.

  • Work with leadership to develop pricing and data licensing models.

  • Support Marketing with strong technical inputs to communicate the value of SAR, MSI, and SyncFused products.

Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in Product Management, including at least 1 year managing Earth Observation, remote sensing, or geospatial data products.

  • Technical understanding of at least two of the following:

    • Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR)

    • Multi-Spectral Imaging (MSI)

  • Strong technical background (e.g., Remote Sensing, Geospatial Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science).

  • Excellent ability to communicate complex concepts like calibration/validation metrics, sensor physics, and data quality parameters to diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with data fusion techniques (e.g., deep learning–based fusion, mathematical fusion).

  • Experience working with cloud-based geospatial processing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • Knowledge of industry standards such as GeoTIFF, COG, STAC, and EO data pipelines.

  • Prior experience in a fast-paced startup environment.

Benefits
  • Competitive compensation

  • Health insurance

  • Flexible work environment

  • Opportunity to shape next-generation space data products

  • High-growth, innovation-driven culture
