Job summary

Haleon plc. in Bangalore is seeking a Product Expert for Procurement Orchestration to define, implement and optimize buying strategies across Haleon. You will ensure SOx controls are embedded into product operations, support audit readiness, and drive value through cross-functional collaboration.

You will lead end-to-end delivery, coordinate with SAP ECC/S4HANA and Ariba integrations, and guide stakeholders globally to maximize efficiency and compliance across procurement processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in information systems, business administration or computer science.
• 12+ years total experience with a minimum 8+ years in SAP Ariba configuration, integration and administration.
• Experience with a Procurement Orchestration tool such as Oro, Zip, Tonkean, SAP Joule or similar.
• Strong expertise building interfaces with SAP Ariba APIs and modules (Buying, Sourcing).
• Familiar with SAP ECC and S/4HANA integrations, HR Mini Master and Ariba links.
• Proven track record in SaaS product management and cross-country delivery.

About the role

Oro Labs procurement orchestration platform is Haleon’s solution for triaging procurement requirements and providing TPRM for suppliers.

As a Product Expert for Procurement Orchestration tool within Digital & Technology, you will be responsible for keeping the application compliant with Haleon’s best practices and defining, implementing, and optimizing our buying strategy across Haleon, in line with the priorities of our business teams and maximizing value for money over the lifecycle of the product.

Oro will be becoming a SOx-relevant (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) application, this role is also pivotal in ensuring we comply with SOx requirements by embedding robust control frameworks into product operations – this may span designing and implementing controls to overseeing training, audit readiness, and continuous improvement. This SOx Compliance ensures our financial reporting applications are secure, reliable, and auditable - minimising risk and supporting regulatory integrity.

You will join our Corporate Functions Technology team, reporting directly to the D&T Head of Indirect Procurement.

Role Responsibilities

Product Vision & Strategy

• Develop and maintain a product roadmap that reflects business priorities, regulatory requirements, and user needs.
• Champion innovation by identifying opportunities for new features, integrations, or process improvements that drive business value.

Requirements & Documentation Management

• Lead the gathering, analysis, and prioritization of business and technical requirements from diverse stakeholders, ensuring clarity and traceability throughout the product lifecycle.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation covering system architecture, security, compliance, and operational processes, ensuring accessibility and audit readiness.

Project & Delivery Management

• Oversee end-to-end delivery of Oro Lab solutions, including deployment, upgrades, enhancements and integration to SAP ECC (S4HANA), SAP GRC and SAP Ariba.
• Manage project scope, timelines, and resources, ensuring delivery against agreed milestones and budgets.
• Manage all system changes by following the Haleon change management procedure, ensuring traceability for auditors on any system changes made.
• Coordinate across functional teams (Tech, HR, Procurement, Finance, external vendors) to ensure seamless execution and issue resolution.

Stakeholder and Vendor management

• Engage proactively with internal stakeholders to understand business needs, communicate product changes, and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
• Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, including performance monitoring and escalation of service issues.
• Facilitate regular stakeholder meetings to ensure alignment and transparency.

Compliance, Risk & Security

• Ensure robust compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., SOx, GDPR), internal policies, and industry standards.
• Embed risk management practices into product operations, including regular risk assessments, mitigation planning, and audit preparation and support.
• Ensure our controls operate effectively and that any control or audit findings are remediated as per agreed timelines
• Maintain and test business continuity and disaster recovery plans for critical applications.

Continuous Improvement

• Act as a subject matter expert for Oro Labs, providing guidance and support to end users, stakeholders and Tech colleagues.
• Lead user adoption initiatives, including training, communication, and support for continuous improvement such as automation, new features or process changes.

Basic Skills

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field
• 12+ years of total experience
• Minimum 8+ years’ experience with SAP Ariba, including configuration, integration, and administration.
• Experience of working in a Procurement Orchestration tool such as Oro, Zip, Tonkean, SAP Joule or similar.
• Very strong experience in building interfaces SAP Ariba APIs.
• Strong experience with SAP Ariba modules such as Buying and Guided Buying, Sourcing and Contracts
• Deep understanding of Procurement management, TPRM and Buying processes.
• Good experience with SAP ECC and S4/HANA, especially HR Mini Master and integrations with Ariba.
• Strong experience of designing and/or operating SOx controls.
• Experience of working with compliance and control frameworks, and of preparing for and supporting application audits (internal and external)
• Proven track record in SaaS product management, solution design, and delivery, ideally in a global or multi-country environment.
• Experience working with and managing third-party service providers and software vendors.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience in designing secure, robust interfaces.
• Exposure to AI technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI, Azure, and Data Lake platforms, would be advantageous.
• SAP Ariba certification and/or SAP Procurement related certifications are a plus.

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting change management and user adoption initiatives.
• Exposure to Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
• Experience working with diverse, cross-functional teams across multiple geographies.
