Job description

As a Product & Engineering Operations Manager at Mindtickle, you will play a pivotal role in steering our organization’s growth trajectory. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on our company’s strategic direction and contribute to our ongoing success in the dynamic world of technology and innovation.

Position Responsibilities
  • Own the overall Roadmap planning exercise: ensure the roadmap vision is aligned and an execution plan is in place to keep initiatives planned, prioritized, released, and communicated effectively. Integrate customer feedback, support data, and product usage signals into the prioritization process, using tooling where possible to reduce manual synthesis.
  • Plan, track, and measure Goals in R&D. Align goals with leadership, update them on a cadence, and proactively surface risks, using automated dashboards and alerting so risks and blockers appear between review cycles.
  • Run horizontal initiatives to bridge process gaps: identify gaps in the current ‘As‑Is’ process, suggest corrective actions, and collaborate with teams to deploy them.
  • Ensure that product and engineering managers have the right tool stack and use it efficiently. Evaluate new tools (including AI‑powered developer tools), measure their impact, and maintain data hygiene across the stack.
Operational Efficiency & Automation
  • Identify repeatable, high‑effort operational processes and build lightweight automations (low‑code, scripts, or AI‑assisted workflows) to reduce overhead. Examples include automated release notes, sprint summary digests, meeting action‑item tracking, and intelligent routing of cross‑functional requests.
  • Build and maintain internal knowledge systems that make it easy for teams to self‑serve on process documentation, past decisions, and institutional knowledge.
Support Leadership for Key Initiatives / Meetings
  • Drive key meetings and events, including goal reviews, QBRs, and retrospectives.
  • Program‑manage key initiatives led by Product & Engineering leadership and provide visibility and progress updates.
  • Assist the leadership team in preparing presentations and documents for board meetings, leadership summits, and customer escalations.
Special Projects
  • Drive or assist in high‑priority initiatives as defined in consultation with the COO and Product & Engineering leaders.
  • Assist in cross‑team projects as required.
Requirements
  • 4–5 years of total experience in Consulting, Strategy and Operations, CEO/CPO office roles, or with a VC firm—with a track record of consistent, outstanding achievements.
  • Track record of working on complex, high‑impact projects directly with engineering teams.
  • Drive to work in a hands‑on operations and strategy role; comfortable handling ambiguity, shifting gears when needed, and executing without the complete picture.
  • Ability to prototype automations and workflows independently—using low‑code tools, AI assistants, or scripting—without needing to file an engineering ticket for every operational improvement.
  • Data fluency: comfortable with SQL or BI tools (Looker, Metabase, Tableau) to self‑serve on operational analytics rather than waiting on a data team.
  • Collaboration catalyst: ability to create clarity when none exists, learn quickly, take initiative, drive complex projects, and get things done.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively—both verbally and in writing—across stakeholders and C‑level executives.
  • Strong demonstrated experience in establishing processes across the organization.
  • Familiarity with the software product development lifecycle and related processes.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: drives projects on a cadence through collaboration, not authority.
NICE TO HAVE
  • Experience with change management when rolling out new tools or processes to engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with product analytics tools (Amplitude, Mixpanel, Pendo) and how to leverage them for roadmap decisions.
  • Prior experience in a SaaS or B2B product company.
  • Exposure to OKR frameworks and modern goal‑setting methodologies.
