Citi in Mumbai is seeking a Product Development professional focused on Business Analytics. You will work with front office and technology to deliver data-driven solutions and prototypes for analytical tools.

The role requires strong data analytics, AI-first mindset, and experience with Python, BI reporting, and cross-functional collaboration to drive governance and adoption.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years experience with large data sets and AI-first data solutioning.
• Proficient in Gen AI, frontier models, Python, Airflow, Streamlit/Flask and Starburst.
• Experience with version control tools such as GitHub and Bitbucket.
• Ability to perform data analysis, troubleshoot data quality issues, and explore datasets.
• Ability to structure problems, develop solutions, and drive results.
• Project management experience leading large tech initiatives.
• Working knowledge of Excel and BI dashboards (QlikView/Tableau).
• Front office exposure or interest in Wholesale Credit or Lending.

The Institutional Credit Management (ICM) group is seeking a Product Development professional, focused on Business Analytics. This person will work closely with the front office and technology on multiple fronts to help execute strategic goals.

ICM has been established with the objective to provide an integrated “end-to-end” credit underwriting, identification, measurement, management and monitoring for wholesale credit businesses across the enterprise.

This role is focused on short term tactical projects, which often bridge the gap between longer term tech projects.

The function is responsible for extensive partnering across all relevant businesses within ICG and Independent Risk to drive key initiatives and associated deliverables for the data strategy and manage change with the right governance framework.

In this role, you’re expected to:

• Identify areas for improvement by listening to front office users and their management teams; prototype solutions and develop business requirements

• Continuously learn from and partner with business management and technology partners to identify opportunities to incrementally deliver business value through tactical tools

• Create prototypes for analytical tools that will later be productionized by ICM technology

• Partner with internal organizations such as finance, risk, middle office and compliance to improve cross functional workflows, feeds and reporting

• Collaborate with technology counterparts to define requirements and ensure proper governance over applications development, testing and releases

• Provide user training, solicit feedback and drive systems adoption

• Respond to ad-hoc data requests and provide reporting as needed

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:

• 3-6 years experience using tools of large data sets and proficient knowledge of data solutioning with AI first approach `

• Proficient knowledge of programming languages and frameworks such as Gen AI and frontier models, Python, Apache Airflow, Streamlit and/or Flask, Starburst

• Well versed with code versioning tools like github, bitbucket, etc..

• Ability to create business analysis, troubleshoot data quality issues, and conduct exploratory and descriptive analysis of business datasets.

• Ability to structure and break down problems, develop solutions, and drive results.

• Project Management skills with experience leading large technological initiatives

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g. formulas, vlookups, pivot tables).

• Working knowledge in developing BI reporting tools and dashboards in Qlikview or Tableau

• Front office experience or interest in Wholesale Credit or Lending

• Knowledge of systems engineering or database administration

Education:

• Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
