Job summary

CipherSchools is seeking a design-focused professional in India to evaluate the platform, improve the user experience, and create cohesive visuals. You will draft screens, build interactive prototypes, and produce brand-aligned graphics for marketing and product collateral.

You will collaborate with product, content, and marketing teams to ensure designs communicate clearly and maintain a consistent brand across all touchpoints.

Qualifications

• Spot design problems and propose usable solutions.
• Create rough sketches to polished interactive prototypes.
• Experience or strong interest in visual design and digital branding materials.
• Take feedback and adapt designs as the team learns what works best.
• Strong communication to explain design choices across teams.

Responsibilities

• Examine how the platform looks and works to spot user struggles, clashes, or broken experience.
• Sketch and build better ways to organize screens, guide users through tasks, and structure interface parts they touch.
• Develop detailed plans on paper, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive versions that show new capabilities or overhaul sections.
• Make graphics that support the brand, design for social channels, create visual headers and collateral for pitching ideas.
• Keep the look and feel uniform by following established brand rules in everything you design.
• Work with product, content, and marketing teams to translate concepts into designs that communicate clearly.

About the role:

• Examine how the platform currently looks and works, spotting places where users struggle, features clash with each other, or the experience breaks down
• Sketch out and build better ways to organize screens, guide people through tasks, and structure the parts of the interface they touch
• Develop detailed plans on paper, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive versions that show how new capabilities or overhauled sections will function
• Make graphics that support the brand, design for social channels, create visual headers and promotional materials, and put together slide decks and collateral for pitching ideas
• Keep the look and feel uniform by following the established brand rules in everything you design
• Work alongside the people building the product, those writing and organizing content, and the team spreading the word, turning concepts into designs that communicate clearly

What you'll bring:
