Job summary

Hitachi Energy India Limited is seeking a Senior Procurement Professional in Savli, Gujarat, to manage import and domestic procurement and oversee material planning and logistics. The role requires 5–8 years of experience in procurement within a multinational environment, with strong SAP MM and MS Office skills.

Responsibilities include supplier coordination, delivery scheduling, and ensuring timely payments while maintaining quality and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering.
  • 5-8 years of procurement experience in an MNC, preferably from GIS manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of import/export material handling.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of SAP MM.
  • Proficient in MS Office.

  • Handling import & domestic procurement.
  • Material Planning & tracking based on continuous production plan.
  • Purchase and logistics management of various commodities.
  • Conduct a thorough project review to establish delivery schedules / project timelines.
  • Conduct daily progress reviews of work and delivery status of materials.
  • Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure that incoming materials meet quality standards.
  • Oversee the billing process for all procured items, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments to understand their procurement needs.

Your Responsibilities

Your Background
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering.
  • Candidate must have 5-8 years of experience in Procurement at MNC in relevant industry preferably from GIS manufacturing company.
  • Knowledge of import and export Material Handling.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sound interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of SAP MM.
  • Well versed with MS Office.
  • Strong Follow up and Expedite Materials skills.
  • Basic knowledge of engineering drawing.
