Job summary

Sensata is seeking a procurement analyst in Pune to maintain updated purchase records and support sourcing of materials and transportation services within and outside the city. You will build and maintain procurement dashboards and reports using Power BI, Excel, and SQL, ensure data accuracy and governance, and drive opportunities for automation and cost savings across supplier networks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain updated purchase records and track procurement activities.
• Collaborate on urgent material purchases and transportation for internal needs.
• Track metrics to reduce expenses and improve procurement effectiveness.
• Research suppliers and negotiate favorable terms for critical materials.
• Develop and maintain procurement dashboards, KPIs, scorecards and reports (Power BI, Excel, SQL).
• Ensure data accuracy, governance across procurement systems and supplier databases.
• Support deployment of new procurement tools and internal development activities.
• Lead data collection, cleansing, validation and transformation from ERP and supplier systems.
• Monitor procurement performance metrics (savings, PPV, spend under management, supplier performance).
• Identify opportunities for process automation and data standardization to improve visibility and decisions.

Job description

General Responsibilities

• Key participant in the maintenance of updated purchase records


• Collaborates on making purchases of urgent materials and/or transportation service for materials or products inside the city or to other locations


• Key participant in the tracking and recording of functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness


• Collaborates interviews of sales representatives and researches companies to develop new sources of supplies and secure favorable terms for the company


• Develop and maintain procurement dashboards, KPIs, scorecards, and reports using tools such as Power BI, Excel, SQL, and other analytics platforms.


• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and governance across procurement systems, master data, and supplier databases.


• Support new Procurement tools and software deployment and internal development activities


• Lead data collection, cleansing, validation, and transformation activities from ERP, P2P, CLM, and supplier management systems.


• Monitor procurement performance metrics such as savings, PPV, spend under management, supplier performance, compliance, and forecast attainment.


• Identify opportunities for process automation, data standardization, and advanced analytics to enhance procurement efficiency, visibility, and decision-making.

Experience / Qualifications

• A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.


• Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
