Job Description

Strategically source a portfolio of products and services, with an emphasis on contingent labor, using tools, processes, and strategies to drive business results.

Partner closely with internal cross‑functional teams and stakeholders to deliver a consistent customer experience and lead cost‑saving initiatives.

Direct internal and external processes to ensure an integrated sourcing system that meets customer requirements, minimizes total cost of ownership, and maximizes effectiveness.

Develop and manage relationships with suppliers, including staffing agencies and consulting firms, to secure competitive pricing, monitor performance, and conduct quarterly business reviews. This ensures an optimal balance between value for money, cost savings, and quality.

Conduct spend analysis and rate benchmarking for suppliers within specific categories, focusing on contingent labor to identify cost optimization opportunities and market trends.

Support RFP processes, specifically for staffing suppliers, including evaluation, scoring, and contract negotiation.

Maintain the vendor management system (VMS) or procurement platform for contingent labor requisitions, approvals, and reporting.

Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as fill rates, time‑to‑fill, cost per hire, and supplier quality metrics.

Collaborate with Legal and HR teams to ensure compliance with worker classification rules, contract terms, and onboarding requirements.

Analyze contingent workforce data to support strategic workforce planning and budget forecasting.

Qualifications

3-5 years procurement or category management experience, preferably in services procurement or contingent labor.

Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, data analysis, and spend analytics tools.

Experience with vendor management systems (VMS) or procurement platforms preferred.

Excellent relationship management and communication skills for working with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

Knowledge of employment law basics including contractor vs. employee classification.

Previous experience with staffing industry suppliers and market dynamics.

Familiarity with HR processes including onboarding, performance management, and workforce planning.

Project management experience, particularly with cross‑functional initiatives.

Experience with contract negotiation and supplier performance management.

Additional Information

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance or a related field is required.

CPM or CPSM certification is preferred.

3 years + of progressively responsible experience in strategic sourcing and vendor management.
