What is The Role
As Procurement Operations Manager, your primary focus will be to architect and manage the systems, processes, and analytical frameworks that empower the global sourcing and procurement organization. You will be reporting to the Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing in North America, to transform procurement operations into a data-driven engine of efficiency. You will work closely with global sourcing leads to drive value through operational excellence, automation, and high-quality organizational metrics across all technical and non-technical spend categories. This role is highly cross‑functional and requires consistent liaison with IT, Accounts Payable, and other key departments across the company to ensure operational alignment.
What You Will Be Doing
Operations, Systems, & Analytics
- Act as project manager for the Sourcing team, keeping key projects on track and supporting weekly key deals reviews.
- Improve procurement and contract management policies, processes, and procedures while ensuring compliance.
- Develop and track key metrics including contract review cycle time, savings, supplier consolidation and relationship management, risk reduction and management, and improved visibility and control of expenditures.
- Strengthen reporting and analytics across procurement and contract activities to highlight trends, risks, challenges, and opportunities.
- Support implementation of systems and tools that drive productivity gains across procurement, sourcing, and contract management.
- Serve as subject matter expert for procurement tools such as Workday, Lucid, BigQuery, Tableau, Netsuite, and Omnea, ensuring system integrity.
- Support new procurement tool implementation through cross‑functional collaboration and representation of sourcing interests.
- Build and maintain advanced analytics dashboards for real‑time visibility into global spend, contract cycle times, and supplier performance.
- Architect and automate intake‑to‑pay workflows to remove manual bottlenecks and improve stakeholder experience.
Operational Support & Procurement Enablement
- Oversee the contract administration lifecycle and coordinate review processes using established playbooks to ensure compliance.
- Manage tactical, high‑volume procurement proposals and bids aligned with broader category strategies and technical requirements.
- Operationalize global agreements by partnering with Legal and IT to streamline execution of SOWs, MSAs, and NDAs.
- Own the training curriculum for the sourcing and procurement team to support development and knowledge sharing.
- Roll out automation projects to improve operations and efficiencies within the Sourcing team.
What You Bring
- Expertise in procurement tools and systems implementation, including Workday, ServiceNow, Tableau, Lucid, Netsuite, Omnea, and similar platforms.
- Strong analytics and reporting skills, with the ability to draw insights from complex data and improve procurement visibility.
- Experience automating procurement workflows and intake‑to‑pay processes to drive productivity gains.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, law, or equivalent, plus 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in sourcing and procurement operations.
- Deep understanding of vendor contracts, purchasing, and contract review processes, with a focus on compliance and efficiency.
- Experience leading international procurement operations and contract teams in global high‑growth technology companies.
- Ability to translate complex contractual terms into operational workflows and playbooks in partnership with Legal teams.
- Strong leadership, coaching, presentation, and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to manage a distributed team and influence business partners.
- Ability to build strong relationships with key business partners and vendors, and lead purchasing projects across categories.
- Flexibility to support global time zones, especially North America, and willingness to travel as needed.
- A self‑starter mindset with a positive, can‑do attitude, initiative, and focus on results.
- Passion for operational improvement, productivity gains, and performance metrics.
- Proven ability to govern and orchestrate AI agents for tail spend management and contract intelligence, while helping up‑skill the procurement team for the AI era.
- Active participation in procurement networks and industry forums such as SIG, with strong knowledge of AI‑driven procurement tools, automation, and emerging trends.
