Job summary

ExxonMobil is seeking an Organizational Design & Effectiveness Advisor to partner with process owners and senior leaders in building the Process Management & Enablement capability. This role translates PM&E strategy into practical standards, evidence, designs and measurable change, drafting, testing and applying standards under the PM&E Capability Manager.

The ideal candidate has deep BPM experience, strong facilitation, and the ability to coordinate across global teams, IT and change functions

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years in BPM, process analysis, improvement, operational excellence or transformation.
  • 3+ years in BPM/modeling and participation in 2-4 completed engagements; at least one led or co-led.
  • Experience supporting global stakeholders and facilitating virtual cross-functional work.
  • Experience producing standards, playbooks, training or reusable process assets.
  • BPM lifecycle, BPMN 2.0, process hierarchy, ownership, E2E analysis, KPI design, variants and controls.
  • Practical knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma plus mining, Agile, VSM, journey or digital enablement.
  • Signavio, ARIS, Bizagi or similar; Celonis or other mining exposure preferred.
  • Strong facilitation, technical writing, analytical structure, global communication and project coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, test and maintain BPM hierarchy, taxonomy, modeling, documentation, metadata, repository, quality and lifecycle standards.
  • Create playbooks, templates, examples, training materials and methodology-selection guidance across BPM, Lean, Six Sigma, modeling, mining, Agile, value-stream and journey methods.
  • Support demand assessment, baseline gathering, stakeholder mapping, engagement charters and recommendations on scope and methods.
  • Lead analysis workstreams and selected engagements from discovery and current-state modeling through future-state design, implementation planning, adoption and sustainment.
  • Use mining, operational data, interviews and workshops to analyze handoffs, queues, rework, variants, controls, data, systems and experience.
  • Translate global stakeholder and SME input into practical process models, requirements, measures, decisions and improvement roadmaps.
  • Coordinate virtually across U.S. and global time zones with business, process owners, IT, Digital, controls, and change teams; elevate enterprise decisions to the manager.
  • Maintain reusable knowledge, support repository quality, deliver training/coaching, and ensure external specialists transfer methods and assets internally.

What role you will play in our team

The Process Management and Improvement Advisor is a strategic partner responsible for supporting the buildout of the Process Management & Enablement capability and applying its standards to functional and cross-functional improvement engagements. Partner with Process Owners and senior leaders, translating PM&E strategy into practical standards, evidence, designs and measurable change. The role drafts, tests and applies standards under the direction of the PM&E Capability Manager.

About You

Skills & Qualifications:

Preferred Skills Oil and gas, energy or petrochemicals experience is preferred but not mandatory. Strong candidates may come from chemicals, mining, utilities, industrial manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, aerospace, supply chain, engineering, projects, finance or shared services if they can learn domains quickly.


Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. Preferred credentials include ABPMP CBPA/CBPP, APQC process/framework training, Lean Six Sigma, BPMN, process mining, Prosci, Agile/SAFe or PMP. Technical operating decisions remain with business SMEs.
