S&P Global Market Intelligence in Gurugram, India, is seeking valuation professionals to deliver private market pricing valuations for illiquid investments across industries.

You will build and refine financial models, report results to clients, maintain relationships, and engage with industry events to deepen expertise.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant or CFA candidate actively pursuing qualification.
• Experience constructing and reviewing valuation models (e.g., DCF, comps, commodity contracts/forecasts).
• Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Commercial awareness and experience responding to client price challenges.

About the Role

The Team

Our valuation professionals are experts in private market pricing valuation services. The team assists clients with post-trade valuation of alternative investments, focusing on debt and equity positions where no active market quotations are available. We value collaboration, innovation, and delivering high-quality insights to our clients.

Responsibilities and Impact

• Perform valuations on a wide range of illiquid investments across industries and geographies using S&P's valuation methodologies.
• Report valuation results to clients and handle client queries.
• Contribute to the design and enhancement of the financial models used to perform valuations.
• Work with management to maintain client relationships.
• Attend relevant industry events to broaden knowledge and experience within the alternative asset industry.
• Support the team in responding to client price challenges and maintaining strong client relationships.

Basic Required Qualifications

• Qualified accountant or CFA candidate currently working to obtain qualification.
• Experience constructing and reviewing valuation models and other financial models (e.g., DCF, comparable company, commodity contracts/forecasts, intangible asset models).
• Knowledge of software packages including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Commercial awareness and experience responding to client price challenges.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

• Experience maintaining and prioritizing client relationships.
• Ability to coordinate with internal teams across a variety of functions.
