About the Role

The Private Banker-First Private is a leadership role within the Retail Banking division, responsible for managing a team of 8–15 Private Banking Relationship Managers (RMs). The role focuses on driving team performance across key financial metrics such as Assets Under Management (AUM), Total Relationship Value (TRV), and revenue. In addition to team oversight, the Market Head is expected to personally manage 15–20 high‑value clients and deliver individual revenue targets. This role is instrumental in delivering a seamless banking and wealth management experience and positioning IDFC FIRST Bank as the primary financial partner for affluent clients.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

• Own and deliver the team’s AUM, TRV, and revenue targets across all financial parameters.
• Mentor, coach, and support RMs through joint client meetings and performance reviews.
• Ensure a seamless banking and wealth management experience through product expertise and relationship excellence.
• Drive customer acquisition through team‑led initiatives including natural market outreach, open market activities, and internal referrals via branch and digital networks.
• Personally manage a portfolio of 15–20 large clients and achieve 1.5× of fixed compensation in revenue.

Secondary Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal policies.
• Maintain a high relationship management orientation and foster strong client connections.
• Focus on service excellence and execution to achieve business results.

Managerial & Leadership Responsibilities

• Lead hiring and retention efforts for the Private Banking RM team.
• Drive team development and ensure adequate staffing.
• Monitor and support achievement of individual and team targets.
• Promote a culture of customer centricity, innovation, compliance, and integrity.

What We Are Looking For

Education

• Graduation: Any discipline (Full‑Time)
• Postgraduation: MBA / PGDM (Preferred from Tier 1/ 2 institutes)

Experience

• Minimum 10 years of proven experience in private banking, wealth management, or retail liabilities.
• Prior leadership experience managing high‑performing relationship teams.
