Sutherland is seeking a medical authorization specialist in Hyderabad to handle prior authorizations and referrals from insurers for procedures and injections. You will verify patient eligibility and provide clinical information to obtain approvals, ensuring timely updates on orders and tasks.

The role requires at least 2+ years in pre-authorization and solid knowledge of medical terminology, with night shifts and cab facility offered as part of benefits.

Responsibilities

• Obtain prior-authorizations and referrals from insurance companies before procedures or surgeries.

• Review patient insurance information and eligibility to obtain necessary authorizations for injections, DME, procedures, and surgeries.

Role & responsibilities

• Obtains prior-authorizations and referrals from insurance companies prior to procedures or Surgeries utilizing online websites or via telephone.
• Monitors and updates current Orders and Tasks to provide up-to-date and accurate information.
• Provides insurance company with clinical information necessary to secure prior-authorization or referral.

Obtains and/or reviews patient insurance information and eligibility verification to obtain prior authorizations for injections, DME, Procedures, and surgeries.
