Job summary

Oracle in Maharashtra, India seeks a senior Oracle DBA with hands-on experience across 11g, 12c, and 19c to lead large database projects and customer engagements.

You will manage performance tuning, upgrades, migrations, and disaster recovery, while coordinating cross-functional teams and communicating with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience with project management capabilities.
• Excellent core Oracle Database skills with hands-on across 11g, 12c and 19c.
• Extensive experience in performance tuning, upgrades, migrations, backup and recovery.
• In-depth knowledge of RAC, ASM and Active Data Guard.
• Strong incident and problem management with reliable workarounds during crises.
• Leadership in planning and managing large Oracle DB installations and customer engagements.
• Hands-on technical lead while directing milestones and teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with stakeholders.
• Collaborative team player with cross-functional coordination abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead Technical Account Management across large customer engagements, providing hands-on direction and governance.
• Plan, manage, and execute end-to-end database projects, including upgrades from 11g to 19c.
• Oversee core DBA operations: performance diagnostics, tuning, maintenance schedules, and backup/recovery.
• Design and maintain high-availability and DR architectures using RAC, ASM, and Active Data Guard.
• Lead incident and problem management, identify root causes, implement workarounds during crises.
• Define milestones, track deliverables, manage risks, and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Act as primary technical contact for customer leadership, reporting status and solutions.

• Oversee and deliver core DBA operations, covering database performance diagnostics, proactive tuning, maintenance schedules, and robust backup and recovery strategies.


• Design, configure, and maintain high-availability and disaster recovery architectures leveraging core database options such as RAC, ASM and Active Data Guard.


• Lead incident and problem management efforts, identifying root causes and rapidly implementing workarounds during mission-critical crisis situations.


• Define project milestones, track deliverables, manage risks, and coordinate cross-functional delivery teams to ensure on-time project execution.


• Act as the primary technical point of contact for customer leadership, conducting operational reviews and communicating project status and technical solutions effectively.


• Collaborate closely with customer engineering teams and internal stakeholders to drive technical excellence and maintain high customer satisfaction.
