Principal, Sr. Incident Response Analyst

About the Role:

Zinnov is hiring for the role of Principal, Sr. Incident Response Analyst on behalf of our Global MNC MedTech client company a company where technology sits at the centre of everything: powering how the core business operates day to day and shaping the products and digital solutions that will define the future of patient care. This role is part of the companys establishment of their new India Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Bengaluru which will drive enterprise technology, digital transformation and innovation for its global operations and contributing to technology that ultimately helps millions of people around the world.

The position works closely with IT, Cybersecurity, Legal, Compliance, Engineering, and business stakeholders in a highly regulated environment. It is suited for professionals with strong privacy, audit, and risk management experience who can contribute to secure and compliant technology delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the investigation, triage, and resolution of complex cybersecurity incidents, ensuring timely containment, eradication, and recovery
  • Perform advanced threat analysis, digital forensics, and root cause investigations to identify vulnerabilities and prevent recurrence
  • Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and anomalous activity across enterprise systems and networks
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve incident response processes, playbooks, and tooling
  • Provide expert guidance during high-impact cyber events and act as a senior technical escalation point
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., IT, legal, compliance) to coordinate response and ensure regulatory alignment
  • Conduct post-incident reviews, develop mitigation strategies, and strengthen security controls
  • Support audit activities, maintain detailed incident documentation, and ensure compliance with internal and external standards
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to building a strong, high-performing incident response capability
  • Evaluate emerging threats, technologies, and industry best practices to enhance overall cybersecurity posture
Education
  • Bachelors degree in information technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related discipline required.
  • Masters degree in a related field preferred.
Experience and Skills
Required
  • 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong focus on incident response, threat detection, or digital forensics
  • Proven experience investigating and resolving complex security incidents across enterprise environments
  • Strong knowledge of security operations, SIEM tools, endpoint detection, and network security technologies
  • Expertise in threat analysis, malware investigation, and root cause analysis
  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders in a global organization
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical issues to non technical stakeholders
Preferred
  • Experience in healthcare, MedTech, or regulated industries
  • Knowledge of industry security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, MITRE ATT&CK)
  • Experience building or improving incident response programs and playbooks
  • Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern detection technologies
  • Experience leading incident response efforts or mentoring junior analysts
  • Exposure to threat intelligence platforms and proactive threat hunting
Additional Information
  • Language: English proficiency required; additional regional languages are a plus.
  • Travel: Limited domestic or international travel may be required, typically less than 10%.
  • Certifications: Certifications (preferred): CISSP, GIAC (GCIA, GCIH), CEH, or equivalent
