Job summary

Eurofins is seeking an experienced Java/Enterprise Architect and Developer to own and contribute to the architecture and development of enterprise Java applications. You will guide design decisions across distributed teams and help modernise legacy forensic systems while ensuring scalable, high-performance solutions.

The role focuses on Java 11/17, Java EE/Jakarta EE, and integration with modern DevOps practices across UK/Europe and offshore delivery centres.

Role & responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

• Own and contribute to architecture and development of enterprise Java applications
• Provide technical guidance on design and implementation across distributed teams
• Support modernisation and evolution of legacy forensic systems

Specific Assignments

• Software Engineering & Full-Stack Development
• Develop enterprise applications across client and server components
• Work with:

Database & Backend Engineering

Design and optimise backend services and data models
