Job summary

FC Global Services India LLP (First Citizens India) in Bengaluru seeks a Principal Software Engineer to lead DevSecOps across secure software delivery, reliability engineering and automation initiatives.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Define and implement SRE practices and reliability engineering principles across applications and platforms.
• Improve system availability, scalability, performance, resilience and fault tolerance.
• Identify reliability risk and implement proactive measures to prevent recuring incidents.
• Participate in on-call rotations, production support, incident response and post -incident reviews.
• Lead root cause analysis for complex production incidents and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD templates with integrated security testing (SAST,DAST,SCA, secret scanning etc)
• Develop automation for vulnerability scanning, compliance checks and infrastructure hardening across cloud and on prem
• Define and enforce secure IaC practices
• Conduct Code reviews and provide guidance on application and infrastructure security architecture
• Set up and manage observability tools and implement alerting and logging for early issue detection and ensuring the reliability and performance of DevSecOps applications and services in preproduction and production
• Troubleshoot software infrastructure issues and collaborate with the team to resolve them
• Identify code vulnerability solution and fix
• Mentoring engineers on DevSecOps practices and tools usage through training and documentation

As a DevSecOps SRE Engineer on our team, you will play a key role in building and operating secure, scalable and highly reliable platforms. You will bridge development, security and operations by embedding reliability and security into software delivery life cycle, driving automation and observability, improving incident response and enabling faster and safer software delivery. The role offers an opportunity to influence engineering practices at scale, solve complex reliability challenges, and build platforms that improve both developer productivity and business resilience.

• Strong experience with Linux/Unix systems administration and troubleshooting
• Strong understanding of DevOps methodologies, tools, and practices, with a focus on automation and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD)
• Experienced in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment using DevSecOps tools and platforms, such as Jenkins/GitLab CI/Github actions, Docker, Kubernetes, and security scanning tools
• Security tooling and practices – familiar scans like SAST/DAST and SCA with tools like sonarqube, Checkmarx, snyk, blackduck
• Experienced in multiple programming and scripting languages and capable of writing secure code
• Proficiency with Ansible and terraform
• Experience with Kubernetes (K8s), Helm or OpenShift for orchestration and scaling and scanning tools like snyk, trivy aqua
• Awareness of monitoring solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) and log management tools like Splunk
• Familiarity with security scanning and vulnerability management
