About The Role

We’re looking for a Principal Engineer to lead the design and architecture of key engineering initiatives at Clari India. In this role, you’ll shape the future of our Conversational Intelligence and Activity Analytics products—delivering insights from both structured and unstructured data to drive revenue excellence. You’ll be responsible for designing large-scale, high-performance systems used by some of the world’s top enterprise tech companies, including building cost-efficient data architectures for terabytes of streaming sales call data, processing that data in real time to generate insights, using audio fingerprinting to differentiate between speakers, and leveraging large language models (LLMs) to extract meaning from conversations. You’ll also work on visualising these insights at scale through robust dashboards, while integrating signals from emails, meetings, and CRM data to provide a holistic view of revenue activity. This is a high-impact, high-innovation role at the core of Clari’s mission.

This is a hybrid position, which will require the ability to be onsite in our Bengaluru, India office as needed. Candidates must be based in India.

Responsibilities

Developing an optimal and scalable architecture for the cloud
Drive architecture discussions, design and code reviews and provide timely feedback
Providing technical guidance and mentoring to team members
Collaborating with several cross functional teams, product managers and engineers
Proactively research and investigate external products and technologies identifying emerging trends and revise software development best practices to take advantage of these
Implement and evolve critical components of our architecture
Drive engineering excellence for the orgs in India and raise the bar on engineering metrics
Contribute to hiring strong and diverse talent to strengthen the team

Qualifications

12+ years of professional server development experience using Java, Python and other similar object-oriented languages
Experience in building AI applications and architectures
Experience with modern AI tools, AnyScale, LLM Orchestrators and Architectures
Strong understanding of web-based architecture - web servers, load balancing, caching, databases, etc
Knowledge of SQL (Postgres) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB)
Up-to-date knowledge of latest trends in web application development, including Amazon AWS ecosystem
Proven track record of developing applications for performance and scale that are widely used
