Job summary

Edge In Asia Recruitment is sourcing for a senior Avaloq professional in Mumbai to lead the Avaloq development team for a global investment banking client. The role requires deep knowledge of core banking, wealth management, and Avaloq modules with hands-on delivery experience.

You will drive build, test and go-live activities, mentor a team of developers and BAs, and collaborate with product architects across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, finance, or related field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in technology and banking, preferably in investment banking.
• 8–15 years in Core Banking/Wealth Management domains with Avaloq exposure.
• Certification in Avaloq is required or completed training.

Responsibilities

• Lead the India Avaloq development team with strong technical and functional expertise.
• Work independently on development changes from functional requirements.
• Drive solution building and validation for workshops to ensure complete coverage.
• Act as SME in specific areas with support from product architects.
• Lead Build/Test/Go-Live stages of implementation projects.
• Support developers during implementation including planning and testing.
• Participate in regional/global projects.

MANDATE: CANDIDATE MUST BE CURRENTLY WORKING IN GLOBAL INVESTMENT BANKING ORGANIZATION.

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

• Lead the India Avaloq development team through technical knowledge and functional expertise (5 to 15 people depending on the projects ongoing).
• Worked independently on development changes after receiving the functional requirements from technical BA.
• Lead and drive solution building / validation for A&D workshops across different streams to ensure consistent and complete requirement & solution coverage.
• Act as a functional subject matter expert at specific areas and able to go deep into requirement / solution gaps with support from product architects.
• Lead and drive implementation projects at Build / Test / Go-Live stages.
• Support developers during implementation including planning & testing.
• Participate / support in regional and / or global projects.

To be eligible for this role you will require:

• University bachelors or masters degree in computer science or banking or equivalent working experience.
• 10-20 years of relevant working experience, preferably in the Technology space.
• 8 to 15 years of working experience in Core Banking Platform/ Wealth Management domain.
• Well versed in all aspects of core banking (Order lifecycle, Credit, Booking, taxes, portfolio performance, night batches, API).
• Able to recruit, motivate and lead a team of Avaloq Developers and BA.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to learn and able to adapt to different technologies.
• Self-motivated, responsible and reliable team player.
• Communicates well & across all levels.
• Completed Avaloq Certification training.
