Epicor India in Hyderabad seeks a Senior Design Lead to own the design vision and interaction architecture for a major product area, guiding patterns and coherence across features, releases and teams.
You will lead end-to-end design from ambiguity to shipped outcomes, partner with Product and Engineering leadership, mentor designers, and translate business goals into design strategy for enterprise SaaS.
Deep proficiency in Figma and design systems, plus AI-informed product design, are essential.
Own the design vision and interaction architecture for a product area: setting direction, defining patterns, and ensuring coherence across features, releases, and teams.
Lead end‑to‑end design from ambiguous problem spaces through shipped outcomes. Frame the problem, align stakeholders, design the solution, and measure whether it worked. Solve complex, cross‑functional product challenges with strategic foresight and consider the second‑order effects of design decisions.
Partner with Product and Engineering leadership as a strategic equal, influencing roadmap direction, investment priorities, and architectural trade‑offs. Drive design quality and consistency across the product area through critique, reviews, and direct contribution.
Mentor senior and mid‑level designers. Bridge product strategy and design investment. Translate business goals into design direction and advocate for design‑informed decisions at the organizational level.
8+ years of product design experience, with a portfolio that demonstrates strategic thinking, systems‑level craft, and shipped impact in enterprise or B2B SaaS.
Proven ability to own design direction for a product area: setting vision, making trade‑offs, and aligning cross‑functional stakeholders around a design point of view.
Mastery of complex enterprise interaction design: systems of workflows, data‑dense operational interfaces, role‑based experiences, and cross‑product patterns.
Strong Figma proficiency and deep fluency with design systems, including token architecture, governance, and scaling across frameworks.
AI fluency beyond tools: shape how the team uses AI in the design process, model quality judgment when AI accelerates or flattens work, and design for AI‑native products.
Strategic communication: influence cross‑functional direction, present to senior leadership, and produce design rationale that withstands organizational scrutiny.
Track record of elevating teams through mentorship, quality standards, and leading by example in framing problems and holding craft accountable.
Hands‑on practice with vibe coding or agent‑assisted development, building functional prototypes and validating ideas in code.
Deep understanding of AI infrastructure related to product design: protocols like MCP, agent orchestration, tool‑use patterns, and context management. Design experiences for systems where AI agents act on behalf of users, addressing trust, control, and transparency patterns.
A philosophical perspective on how AI changes design: insights on taste, craft, originality, and the role of human judgment when generation is commoditized.
Pragmatic, experimental disposition: ship to learn, fail fast, extract signal from failure, and create conditions for the team to test ideas without waiting for permission.
Experience designing for manufacturing, distribution, supply chain, retail operations, or similarly complex, operationally critical domains.
Epicor is committed to creating a workplace and global community where inclusion is valued; where you bring the whole and real you—that’s who we’re interested in. We are an equal‑opportunity employer.
