Job summary

Ameriprise India LLP seeks a senior leader to shape enterprise data, analytics, and AI architecture. You will define scalable, secure data ecosystems across transactional systems, data platforms, and the cloud, guiding governance, modernization, and data product strategies.

You will mentor architects, drive architectural governance, and partner with business and technology leaders to invest in scalable data and AI capabilities that enable informed decision-making and competitive differentiation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field; or related work experience.
• 9-12 years of relevant experience with breadth across engineering disciplines and depth in at least one area.
• Experience with enterprise-wide architecture and ability to see big picture impact on technologies.
• Experience in consulting spanning organizational boundaries and influencing technology and business leaders.
• Experience in architecture, design, implementation and support of complex enterprise solutions.
• Exposure to multiple, diverse technical configurations, technologies, and process improvements.
• Experience on AI and analytics is must have.

Responsibilities

• Define and govern enterprise data architecture standards across transactional systems, data warehouses, master data, and analytical platforms, ensuring scalability, interoperability, compliance, and alignment with business and technology objectives.

• Lead data modernization programs, including legacy data platform exits, data migration strategies, application and database rationalization, historical data retention, cloud adoption, and modernization of enterprise reporting and analytics capabilities.
• Develop and maintain the enterprise data, integration, and AI architecture vision, strategy, standards, and multi-year modernization roadmap, including data platforms, ETL/ELT ecosystems, and cloud-native data services.
• Establish trusted data foundations through governance, metadata management, lineage, data quality, master data management, and regulatory compliance practices.
• Define AI-ready architecture patterns supporting analytics, machine learning, generative AI, knowledge graphs, semantic data models, vector data stores, data products, and intelligent business capabilities.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and guide platform investment decisions across cloud, data, analytics, and AI domains while ensuring scalability, resiliency, security, and operational excellence.
• Serve as the enterprise thought leader and trusted advisor for data and AI architecture, mentoring architects and engineering teams, driving architectural governance, and influencing strategic technology direction across the organization.

Job Description

Provide strategic leadership for enterprise data, analytics, and AI architecture by defining and governing scalable, secure, and compliant data ecosystems across transactional systems, data platforms, and cloud environments. Lead data modernization and transformation initiatives, establish trusted data foundations through governance and quality practices, develop AI-ready architecture capabilities, and drive the long-term data and AI roadmap. Serve as a trusted advisor to business and technology leaders, guiding platform investments, architectural standards, innovation, and enterprise-wide adoption of modern data, analytics, and AI solutions.

• Exposure to multiple, diverse technical configurations, technologies, and process improvements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to explain highly technical solutions to technical and non-technical teams.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to set direction and lead teams in implementing complex architectures.
• Strong analytical skills to be able to break down complex problems and design appropriate solutions, leveraging industry patterns where applicable.
• Exposure to cloud technologies AWS (must have) / Azure or Google (optional/ good to have). Related cloud solution architect certification will be good to have.
