Job summary

Ameriprise India LLP is seeking a senior leader to define and govern enterprise data, analytics, and AI architecture. You will set standards across transactional systems, data warehouses, and analytics platforms, while guiding modernization and cloud adoption.

You will shape a long-term data and AI roadmap, establish governance and data quality practices, and mentor teams to deliver scalable, secure data solutions across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 9–12 years of relevant experience in enterprise data/analytics.
• Experience in architecture, design, implementation and support of complex enterprise solutions.
• Exposure to cloud delivery and AI/analytics initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Define and govern enterprise data architecture standards across platforms, ensuring scalability and compliance.
• Lead data modernization programs including cloud adoption and data migration strategies.
• Develop and maintain the enterprise data, integration, and AI architecture vision and multi-year roadmap.

Lead data modernization and transformation initiatives, establish trusted data foundations through governance and quality practices, develop AI-ready architecture capabilities, and drive the long-term data and AI roadmap. Serve as a trusted advisor to business and technology leaders, guiding platform investments, architectural standards, innovation, and enterprise-wide adoption of modern data, analytics, and AI solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and govern enterprise data architecture standards across transactional systems, data warehouses, master data, and analytical platforms, ensuring scalability, interoperability, compliance, and alignment with business and technology objectives.Define and govern enterprise data architecture standards across transactional systems, data warehouses, master data, and analytical platforms, ensuring scalability, interoperability, compliance, and alignment with business and technology objectives.Lead data modernization programs, including legacy data platform exits, data migration strategies, application and database rationalization, historical data retention, cloud adoption, and modernization of enterprise reporting and analytics capabilities.Develop and maintain the enterprise data, integration, and AI architecture vision, strategy, standards, and multi-year modernization roadmap, including data platforms, ETL/ELT ecosystems, and cloud-native data services.Establish trusted data foundations through governance, metadata management, lineage, data quality, master data management, and regulatory compliance practices.Define AI-ready architecture patterns supporting analytics, machine learning, generative AI, knowledge graphs, semantic data models, vector data stores, data products, and intelligent business capabilities.Evaluate emerging technologies and guide platform investment decisions across cloud, data, analytics, and AI domains while ensuring scalability, resiliency, security, and operational excellence.Serve as the enterprise thought leader and trusted advisor for data and AI architecture, mentoring architects and engineering teams, driving architectural governance, and influencing strategic technology direction across the organization.Required QualificationsBachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field; or related work experience.9-12 years of relevant experience required.Broad experience across various engineering disciplines (cloud, network and security) with depth of experience in at least one area and some exposure to cloud delivery in past.Knowledge of Enterprise-wide architecture and ability to 'see the big picture' and how it affects current and future technologies.Internal/External consulting experience that spans organizational boundaries and includes influencing technology and business leaders.Experience in the architecture, design, implementation and support of complex enterprise solutions.Exposure to multiple, diverse technical configurations, technologies, and process improvements.Experience on AI and analytics is must havePreferred QualificationsDemonstrated ability to explain highly technical solutions to technical and non-technical teams.Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.Ability to set direction and lead teams in implementing complex architectures.Strong analytical skills to be able to break down complex problems and design appropriate solutions, leveraging industry patterns where applicable.Exposure to cloud technologies AWS (must have) / Azure or Google (optional/ good to have).
