Baxter Healthcare is seeking a Principal Engineer (Test) for V&V in Bengaluru. You will shape test strategy, architecture, and automation across platforms, driving quality engineering in a highly regulated medical device setting.

Lead cross-functional teams, mentor V&V engineers, and ensure compliance with IEC 62304 and other standards while advancing modern testing practices and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualificações

• 10-15 years of software V&V experience with 3-5+ years in test lead/tech leadership in regulated domains.
• Expertise in defining test strategy, architecture, automation frameworks and quality engineering practices.
• Strong background in test automation, Python, Selenium, TDD/BDD, CI/CD, and cloud tech.
• Proven track record delivering compliant software in regulated environments like FDA/IEC/ISO.

Your Role at Baxter:

A Principal Engineer (Test) for V&V will be responsible for formulating Test Analysis, Test strategy , Automation framework, Drive Test quality improvements Across Platforms, New Product development and sustaining engineering catering to our portfolio. The successful candidate will possess solid "hands-on" technical abilities, an excitement and energy for product development, and a passion for their work and the impact it has on meeting the needs of patients.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead the Verification & Validation (V&V) strategy, test architecture, and automation framework design to ensure the delivery of high-quality, compliant software products.
• Provide technical leadership across new product development, sustaining engineering, and field issue resolution initiatives.
• Oversee test planning, execution, and approval of key V&V deliverables, ensuring readiness for product releases and project milestones.
• Drive the adoption of test automation, TDD, BDD, CI/CD, and quality engineering best practices to improve product quality and team efficiency.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify technical risks, define mitigation strategies, and ensure successful project execution.
• Champion customer-focused quality by ensuring robust validation processes and timely resolution of product issues.
• Mentor, coach, and develop V&V engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Promote adherence to industry standards and development methodologies, including IEC 62304, SDLC, Agile, Software Security, and Quality Management System requirements.
• Represent the V&V function in product, engineering, and leadership discussions, influencing technical decisions and driving alignment across teams.
• Continuously enhance testing processes, automation capabilities, and quality practices to support scalable and reliable product delivery.

What You'll Bring

• 10-15 years of experience in Software Verification & Validation (V&V), including 3-5+ years in a Test Lead or Technical Leadership role within Medical Device or other highly regulated industries.
• Proven expertise in defining and leading test strategy, test architecture, automation frameworks, and quality engineering practices for complex enterprise products.
• Strong technical background in test automation, Python, Selenium, TDD/BDD, CI/CD, and Cloud technologies (Azure/AWS).
• Demonstrated success delivering compliant, high-quality software products within FDA, IEC, ISO, and other regulated environments.
• Deep understanding of software architecture, modern development practices, and enterprise-scale product development.
• Recognized leader with a track record of driving technical excellence, mentoring engineering teams, and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on innovation, quality, and customer outcomes.
• Experience leading and collaborating with global, multi-site teams in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
• Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive alignment and decision-making across all levels of the organization.
