Baxter International Inc. in Bengaluru is seeking a senior QA lead to steer verification activities for medical device software. You will design verification environments, develop tests, and drive sign-off with cross-functional teams.

You will mentor QA teams, implement test strategies, automate where possible, and ensure regulatory compliance (IEC 62304, ISO 14971) in an Agile setting. Strong communication and leadership are essential to deliver high-quality software quickly.

Qualificações

• 10+ years of experience in Software QA/Verification in regulated industries.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/Software Engineering/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Proven leadership of QA/Test teams and driving technical excellence.
• Experience with test strategies, architectures, and automation frameworks.
• Hands-on with functional, non-functional, performance, reliability testing.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum with JIRA and ALM.
• Collaborative with global teams to deliver quality software.
• Strong analytical, planning, and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Develop tests and top-level/block-level test benches, stimuli, and coverage.
• Coordinate debug of failing tests with design team.
• Ensure delivery of verified blocks for sign-off per requirements.
• Develop and document product test cases.

• Guide team on verification approaches.
• Assist in authoring, reviewing, and executing verification tests.
• Provide input to Traceability Matrix to ensure test coverage.
• Coordinate verification activities through SDLC.
• Compile Verification Test Summary Report after formal verification.

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead the verification team to understand fully the design specification; design a verification environment and interact with design engineers to identify important verification scenarios.
• Lead the development of tests and the creation of top-level and block-level test-benches, stimulus and coverage metrics.
• Coordinate the debug process of failing test cases along with the design team.
• Ensure delivery of verified design blocks for sign-off, meeting defined functionality, performance and coverage requirements. Drive improvements in test execution, quality and delivery.
• Lead the development and documentation of product test case.
• Identifying Testing Risks and own the Risk Mitigation Plans.
• Work within Agile team to deliver quality products as one team
• Guide the team on proper verification approach
• Assist/guide in authoring, reviewing and execution of verification test cases
• Provide input to Trace Matrix to ensure the traceability of the requirements to tests is intact
• Co‑ordinate the verification activities during SDLC
• Compile Verification Test Summary Report at conclusion of formal verification phase for submission

What you’ll bring

• 10+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, Verification & Validation, or Software Test Engineering, preferably within the Medical Device or other highly regulated industries.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience leading and mentoring QA/Test teams while driving technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Strong expertise in defining and executing test strategies, test architecture, and automation frameworks for complex software applications.
• Hands‑on experience with functional, non‑functional, performance, reliability, and automated testing methodologies.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with strong proficiency in JIRA and ALM tools.
• Demonstrated success collaborating with global, cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality software solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, planning, and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and aggressive timelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive quality‑focused decisions.
• Passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and challenging the status quo to enhance product quality and delivery.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Selenium‑based test automation and modern test automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of Teamcenter and/or IBM ClearQuest.
• Experience in medical device software development and familiarity with standards such as IEC 62304 and ISO 14971.
• Proven track record in risk‑based testing, compliance, and validation within regulated environments.
