Job summary

WSP India is seeking a Principal Engineer to join the Bengaluru Civil Team, working with our UK GCC Civil discipline. You will plan and manage delivery of pavement projects, ensuring the adequacy of design, compliance with standards, and effective use of resources, time, cost, and quality.

This role requires 11 years of pavement design and evaluation experience, strong leadership, and the ability to lead road pavement projects, with knowledge of heavy-duty and concrete/flexible pavements, and

Qualifications

• 11 years of professional experience in pavement design and pavement evaluation techniques.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in pavement design using AASHTO/DMRB methods.
• Ability to design and lead road pavement design projects.
• Working knowledge of heavy duty pavements (Port and Airfield).
• Working knowledge of concrete pavement and flexible pavement design.
• Knowledge of UK/International pavement engineering demonstrated by experience in pavement design and investigation.
• Experience of pavement investigation projects for maintenance design and failure investigation.
• Knowledge of materials behavior underlying standard specifications; knowledge of roads operation and renewal practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; leadership and people management.
• Chartered member or close to achieve the Chartership Status with the UK Engineering Council (ICE or CIHT).

Responsibilities

• Leading teams and coordinating with project support groups across disciplines.
• Ensure scope and limits of responsibility between engineering disciplines are understood.

We are seeking to recruit an ambitious and dynamic Principal Engineer to join the UK GCC CIVIL Team

The Civil team in Bengaluru will work alongside our UK discipline.

We are looking for rounded individuals responsible for planning and managing the delivery of

projects, including the adequacy of design, compliance with standards and legislation, resource time,

cost, and quality.

Qualifications

11 years of professional experience in Pavement design and Pavement evaluation techniques

At least 5 years of professional experience in Pavement design using AASHTO/DMRB methods

Ability to design and lead Raod Pavement design projects

Working knowledge of Heavy duty pavements (Port and Airfield)

Working knowledge of concrete pavement and flexible pavement design

Knowledge of UK/International pavement engineering demonstrated by the experience of
pavement design and investigation.

Experience of pavement investigation projects for maintenance design and failure investigation

Knowledge of materials behavior underlying standard specifications.
Knowledge of roads operation, maintenanceand renewal practices.
