WSP India is seeking a senior mechanical/electrical design engineer to lead design work within the building services team. You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with the Local CRC Head of MEP and other disciplines to ensure design intent is achieved within budget and schedule.

The role requires strong knowledge of ISHRAE/ASHRAE standards, preparation of P&ID and heat load calculations, and proficiency in AutoCAD and MEP drafting tools.

Qualifications

• Prepare IFC Drawings, Schedules, Datasheets, schematics and P&ID.
• Possess membership to an accredited engineering body (MIET, CIBSE, INSRAE, ASHRAE).
• Excellent working knowledge of ISHRAE, ASHRAE and good working knowledge of ME codes would be advantageous.
• Prepare heat load calculations.
• Carry out preparation of technical submittals of materials and equipment.

This role is to work as part of an engineering consultancy design team, taking a senior role in project design work, focused on production and liaison with the WSP Building Services Team and mentoring and coaching junior members of the team.

Responsibilities

• Team in association with the Local CRC Head of MEP any variance between the works constructed and the design intent
• Lead the design process and encourage the rest of the team to deliver appropriate and cost effective solutions to the agreed programme.
• Participate in team meetings, disseminate information within the team, and communicate with other teams in WSP
• Identify and flag additional fees to the Local CRC Head of MEP
• Complete timesheet accurately ahead of weekly deadlines

Qualifications

• Carryout preparation of Technical submittals of various materials, equipment's etc.,
• Knowledge of software like AutoCAD, MEP & other drafting soft wares
• Carry out detailed design, calculations & drawings.
• Carry out regular design reviews
• Understand the specifications and tender conditions accordingly design.
• Receive, analyze and evaluate quotations suiting our requirements.
• knowledge about other services like electrical, PHE etc. to carryout design co-ordination
• Good presentation skills are also required
• Must be fully conversant with technical software, such as Hevacomp,
• Ability to work under pressure and with minimum of supervision.
