WSP India seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for power generation and renewable energy projects in the US, with focus on plant and switchyard upgrades.

You will mentor junior engineers, contribute to project proposals and budgets, and ensure compliance with safety and conduct policies while delivering high-quality technical deliverables.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of detailed design engineering experience in power generation projects.
• 10+ years of experience leading a team of engineers and designers.
• 10+ years of detailed design engineering experience in power generation projects, including calculations and equipment specs.
• 10+ years of relay coordination and schematic design.
• CAD, Microsoft Office, and ETAP or SKM software experience.
• Ability to review documents and prepare complex deliverables.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Job Description

To act in a Senior-Level Electrical Engineer capacity in producing WSP engineering related project deliverables involved in Power Generation projects in the US.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineer on design of power generation projects
• Lead electrical engineer on design of renewable energy projects
• Lead electrical engineer on power plant and switchyard electrical system upgrades
• Lead electrical engineer on federal electrical system upgrades
• Mentor and teach junior and mid engineers
• Project proposal and budget development
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision‑making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of detailed design engineering experience in power generation projects, including calculations, equipment specifications, etc.
• 10+ years of experience leading a team of engineers and designers in power generation projects
• 10+ years of detailed design engineering experience in power generation projects, including calculations, equipment specifications, etc.
• 10+ years of relay coordination and schematic design
• CAD, Microsoft Office, and ETAP or SKM software experience
• Experienced with providing critical review for documents and preparing technical deliverables and plans with a high degree of complexity.
• Well-developed critical thinking and problem‑solving skills required to apply technical knowledge to reach conclusions from testing results, data collation, computations, statistical analysis and arriving at the most effective, economical, and logical solution.
• Demonstrated effectiveness at coordinating and assertively directing subcontractors and others to consistently complete tasks safely and efficiently.
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
• Must be flexible to a variety of schedules to meet business needs and able to prioritize responsibilities and quickly adapt to change in a pressure work environment.
• Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.

• Master’s Degree in Engineering.
• Onsite construction support experience
