AECOM seeks a Principal Engineer-Dry Utility (Infrastructure) in India to lead electrical design across EHV, HV, MV and LV systems, street lighting, telecom, ELV, ICT networks, pumps and water treatment. The role involves delivering detailed calculations, circuit sizing, earthing, fault levels, and cable sizing with hands-on project leadership on global assignments.

Hybrid work is offered; employees must be in-office at least three days per week and attend Day 1 onboarding.

Qualifications

• Master of Engineering degree in an engineering discipline.
• 10–13 years of experience; exposure to global projects preferred.
• Experience in electrical design for EHV/HV/MV/LV, street lighting, telecom, ELV, ICT, pumps, water treatment, substations and power networks.

We are seeking a Principal Engineer-Dry Utility(Infrastructure) to join our Energy team in India. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated engineer to contribute to impactful Energy projects across global offices and continue developing their technical expertise in a supportive, high-performing team.

• Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
• Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
• Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
• Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignements.
• Identifies discrepancies in results.
• Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
• Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
• Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.

The successful candidate will have the following Qualifications:

• Master of Engineering degree (or equivalent education) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.
• 10 - 13 Years (Exposure to outside India projects preferably Middle East, UK, USA, Canada & ANZ region )
• Preparation, Review and production of Electrical (EHV, HV, MV, LV), Street Lighting, Telecom, ELV, ICT Network, Pump station, Water Treatment Plant, EV charging Station, Substation, Power Transmission & Distribution network
• Design Calculation: Street lighting, High Mast Area Lighting, Cable sizing & Voltage drop, Earthing, Fault level, Corridor sizing
• Software: Dialux, AGI, Lighting Reality, Amtech, ETAP
