Principal Engineer (Test) Front Line Care

This role involves formulating test analysis, test strategy, and automation framework, driving test quality improvements across platforms, enabling new product development, and sustaining engineering for Baxter's Front Line Care portfolio. The candidate will work collaboratively with R&D and cross‑functional teams.

Location: Tower B, 16th Floor, Karnataka- 560 048, Karnataka, India.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• 10-15 years of experience in Test / V&V Activities, with 3-5 years as a Test Lead for a medical product
• Responsible for test analysis, test design, automation framework design, automation script development, design choices for new product development, sustenance activities, and field issue resolution
• Reviews and approves test deliverables for releases/projects
• Solid understanding and implementation of TDD & BDD
• Demonstrates customer focus by ensuring quality of releases and timely resolution of field reported issues
• Identifies key module/product level technical risks and assists in developing mitigation and recovery plans
• Provides guidance to development and test teams regarding overall design and development
• Leads and coaches/mentors V&V team members
• Drives application of SDLC principles and methodologies such as IEC62304, Lean/Agile, CI, software and product security, scalability, documentation practices, refactoring, and testing techniques
• Represents V&V function in core team meetings

Qualifications / Experience and/or Background

• Excellent test analysis, design, and implementation skills (preferably for product from ground up)
• Strong object‑oriented development and design knowledge and experience
• Deep understanding of technology & test development principles

• Analysis and Design: Object‑oriented architecture, design patterns
• Programming languages: Python, etc.
• Development and continuous integration tools: Azure DevOps, BitBucket, etc.
• Hands on working in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure)
• Web frameworks: Express, Java Spring Boot, Django
• Automation tools/languages: Selenium, Python
• Exposure and hands‑on working knowledge in TDD & BDD
• Exposure and hands‑on working knowledge in cloud technologies (Azure)
• Demonstrated success in delivering results on technical challenges on enterprise products
• Good understanding of healthcare domain (regulations and standards) and medical software development process
