Job summary

Baxter in Bengaluru is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and deliver scalable .NET applications, APIs and microservices. You will plan projects, collaborate across teams, and ensure robust engineering practices.

You will mentor engineers, review code, optimize performance, and align technical solutions with business goals. A 12+ year background in software engineering and experience with Azure/AWS and SQL Server are preferred.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of relevant experience in software engineering.
• Proficiency in .NET, C#, Web APIs, and microservices.
• Strong understanding of relational databases (SQL Server).
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Medical-device software experience is preferred.

What you'll bring

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field, with 12+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and the ability to solve complex technical problems.
• Proficiency in .NET, C#, Web APIs, microservices, Kubernetes, and relational databases such as SQL Server.
• Experience with Azure or AWS; knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, or React is desirable.
• Strong understanding of database design and development, including SQL Server or other relational databases.
• Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration skills.
• Ability to align technical solutions with business objectives and cost considerations.
• Medical-device software experience is preferred.
