CanKids is seeking a Principal – Educational Leadership to oversee classroom operations, drive curriculum innovation, and maximize student learning outcomes.
The role mentors teachers, monitors progress, and curates extracurricular programs to foster holistic development, including reintegration into formal schooling and collaboration with social workers, dietitians, psychologists, and the broader support network.
Founded in 2004 by Poonam Bagai, herself a cancer survivor, CanKids KidsCan, the National Society for Change For Childhood Cancer In India partners with hospitals, medical professionals, and state governments to enable access and best standards of treatment, care and support across 60 cities and 22 states of India.
Catering to childhood cancer patients from primarily underprivileged families, CanKids is present in 141 hospitals across India. Through our signature programYANA (You Are Not Alone)– CanKids provides medical, drugs & diagnostics support, accommodation through Home Away from Homes, , patient transport, blood support, nutrition & rations, education and counselling support.
In order to increaseAccess2Care, CanKids has MOUs with 8 state governments asknowledgeandtechnical partnersfor childhood cancer and 16 State Projects Across India.
The Principal serves as the cornerstone of our educational mission, tasked with overseeing all classroom operations, driving curriculum innovation, and maximizing student learning outcomes. This pivotal role involves guiding teachers through mentorship, monitoring academic progress, and curating a diverse range of extracurricular programs to foster a comprehensive educational environment. A critical component of the position is facilitating the successful reintegration of students into formal schooling systems. Furthermore, the Principal acts as a central hub for collaboration, working closely with social workers, dietitians, psychologists, and the broader support network to ensure holistic student well-being. The role also demands the creation of effective learning strategies and strict adherence to all educational regulations and policies.
