Job summary

WSP India seeks a Principal Civil 3D BIM/Technician to ensure clash-free, coordinated 3D designs for infrastructure projects. The role focuses on modeling gravity and pressure networks, integrating Civil 3D with Revit and Navisworks, and delivering detailed, library-driven BIM workflows.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet client requirements and project deadlines. The position emphasizes high-quality drafting, model efficiency, and proactive coordination across disciplines

Qualifications

• Diploma / BEng in civil engineering with 10+ years experience.
• Extensive experience in Civil 3D.
• Experience with clash check software packages.
• Experience interfacing with Revit and other building design packages.
• Modeling gravity and pressure networks.
• Drawing production for detailed engineering designs.
• Awareness of CAD software AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Ability to coordinate with CAD team members.
• Good English communication skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide design and drafting support for civil engineering projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Develop and model gravity and pressure networks for master planning, transportation, and highway projects.
• Prepare ROW cross-sections for utilities.
• Use Civil 3D extensively for design, modelling, and documentation.
• Build and maintain Civil 3D catalogues and libraries.
• Export models to Navisworks, Revit, and other platforms for coordination.
• Perform clash detection and resolution with BIM tools.
• Deliver coordinated, clash-checked design packages on time and within budget.
• Produce design documents and technical reports.
• Develop standard BIM workflows and libraries to enhance efficiency.

• Produce design documentation, drawings, and technical reports in line with project requirements and deadlines.
• Support continuous improvement by developing standard BIM workflows, libraries, and best practices to enhance team efficiency.

Mandatory skills

• Diploma / BEng equivalent discipline with minimum 10 years experience
• Extensive experience in Civil 3D
• Extensive experience in clash check software packages
• Extensive experience of interfacing with Revit and other building design packages
• Modelling of gravity and pressure networks
• Drawing production for detailed design of engineering Packages
• Awareness of CAD Software Auto CAD, Civil 3D.
• Coordinating his/her work with other members of the CAD team.
• Work competently with minimal supervision.
• Good English communication skills will also be preferred.
