Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 10–14 years in Data Engineering, Solution Architecture, or Technical Architecture roles.
• Deep expertise in modern cloud data ecosystems (Azure, Databricks, Lakehouse).
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, data modeling, ETL/ELT, CDC, and scalable data architecture patterns.
• Experience integrating ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or Salesforce.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive solution architecture strategies, standards, and reference patterns for enterprise Data & Analytics initiatives.
• Lead the design of scalable, secure data solutions with architecture blueprints, designs, integration frameworks, and data models.
• Establish reusable architecture patterns and reference implementations for data ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption.
• Translate strategic priorities into practical technical roadmaps and phased implementation plans.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations for long-term value.
• Conduct reviews to ensure scalability, security, performance, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with governance and security teams to embed data privacy and risk management.
• Lead POCs and technology evaluations for cloud platforms and AI-driven capabilities.
• Provide hands-on leadership to resolve complex performance and integration challenges.
• Mentor engineers and architects to foster architectural excellence.

Principal Architect, Data Architecture and Design

The Principal Technical Architect provides technical leadership for complex data and analytics solutions across multiple programs and business domains. This role is responsible for translating business strategy into scalable, secure, and maintainable technology solutions while partnering closely with engineering, product, governance, and business teams. The architect combines strong solution design expertise with practical technical depth to ensure architecture standards, patterns, and best practices are successfully implemented in delivery.

What you will do:

• Define and drive solution architecture strategies, standards, and reference patterns for enterprise Data & Analytics initiatives, ensuring alignment with broader technology and business objectives.
• Lead the design of scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions, producing architecture blueprints, technical designs, integration frameworks, and data models that accelerate delivery and adoption.
• Establish reusable architecture patterns and reference implementations for data ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption to improve consistency, reduce technical debt, and enhance engineering productivity.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Business stakeholders to translate strategic priorities into practical technical roadmaps, solution designs, and phased implementation plans.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, platforms, and architectural approaches, providing expert recommendations that drive innovation and long-term business value.
• Conduct architecture, design, and technical quality reviews to ensure solutions meet enterprise requirements for scalability, reliability, security, performance, maintainability, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with Data Governance and Security teams to embed data privacy, compliance, access controls, and risk management principles into solution architectures.
• Lead proof-of-concepts and technology evaluations for advanced analytics, cloud platforms, AI-driven capabilities, and next-generation data architectures to determine business and technical fit.
• Provide hands-on leadership in resolving complex technical challenges related to performance, integration, scalability, reliability, and operational support across enterprise platforms.
• Mentor engineers and architects, champion architectural best practices, and foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement across the organization.

What you will need:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field required; Cloud Architecture (Azure, AWS, GCP) and TOGAF certifications are highly desirable.
• 10-14 years of experience in Data Engineering, Solution Architecture, or Technical Architecture roles, with a proven track record of architecting and delivering large-scale, enterprise data and analytics platforms.
• Deep expertise in modern cloud data ecosystems, including Azure, Databricks, Lakehouse architectures, and enterprise-scale data platforms, with the ability to guide teams through complex technical challenges.
• Strong hands-on proficiency in SQL, Python, data modeling, ETL/ELT, CDC, dimensional modeling, and scalable data architecture patterns, with a focus on performance, resilience, and maintainability.
• Experience integrating complex enterprise systems such as SAP, Oracle, JDE, Salesforce, or similar ERP platforms, spanning commercial, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and operational data domains.
• Demonstrated ability to design governed, consumption-ready data products with robust data quality, lineage, security, semantic modeling, and analytics capabilities.
• Strong understanding of API-driven, event-based, and cloud-native architectures, including DevOps, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, observability, and modern engineering practices.
• Proven ability to influence architectural decisions, communicate technical trade-offs, and build consensus across engineering, product, governance, and executive stakeholders without direct authority.
