Qualifications

• Experience in international curriculum is strongly preferred.
• 3–5 years of teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly understand and implement SVKM's quality policy for IGCSE education under the Principal's guidance.
• Own the implementation of the assigned subject syllabus and curriculum.
• Be accountable to SVKM management through the Head of School for classroom performance and activities.
• Maintain and improve student attendance and overall school engagement.
• Assist the Principal in organizing examinations and co-curricular events.
• Set question papers for term and examinations and assess papers as planned.
• Plan and deliver a comprehensive Scheme of Work for the subject, with assessments.
• Design and implement a student support system for diverse learning needs.
• Access online curriculum resources and leverage teacher materials as needed.
• Assist in maintaining authorization documents for visiting curricular bodies.
• Coordinate with the Library for e-resources and digital learning tools.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure curriculum implementation.
• Complete Orientation Courses and professional development programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Thoroughly understand and internalize SVKM's quality policy for IGCSE education, including the developed curriculum and teaching-learning strategies, under the overall guidance of the Principal.
• Take full ownership of the implementation of the assigned subject syllabus or class curriculum, ensuring complete participation and involvement.
• Remain accountable to SVKM management through the Head of School for classroom performance and all scholastic and co-scholastic activities.
• Make consistent efforts to maintain and improve student attendance and overall school engagement.
• Assist the Principal in the general organisation of school activities, including periodic and terminal examinations and co-curricular events.
• Set question papers for term and other examinations in the assigned subject, and assess answer papers judiciously as per the Principal's plan.
• Plan and deliver a comprehensive Scheme of Work for the respective subject/class, incorporating Internal Assessment and feedback strategies.
• Design and implement a student support system for the respective subject to address diverse learning needs.
• Periodically access online curriculum websites and leverage subject-specific teacher support materials where necessary.
• Assist the Principal and Vice-Principal in maintaining and updating essential authorisation documents and folders for visiting teams of respective curricular bodies.
• Support the Primary Coordinator in coordinating with the Library for e-resources, e-magazine subscriptions, and digital learning tools.
• Collaborate regularly and proactively with fellow teachers to ensure efficient and effective implementation of the curriculum.
• Successfully undertake and complete all required Orientation Courses and professional development programmes.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Principal from time to time in the overall interest of the school.
