Job summary

Avaya in Pune is seeking a Deal Specialist to drive data-informed pricing decisions across the business. You will analyze pricing performance, market trends, and customer behavior to identify opportunities and optimize strategies in collaboration with Sales, Finance, Product and Data teams.

You'll build pricing analyses, dashboards, and models to support actionable recommendations and scalable processes, while communicating insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

About The Opportunity

We are looking for a Deal Specialist to join our team and play a key role in driving data-informed pricing decisions across the business.

In this role, you will combine strong analytical skills, business understanding, and a passion for pricing to identify opportunities, optimize pricing strategies, and support profitable growth. You will work closely with commercial, finance, product, and data teams to turn complex data into clear and actionable recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze pricing performance, market trends, customer behavior, and competitive dynamics to identify pricing opportunities.
• Develop and maintain pricing analyses, dashboards, and performance indicators to support decision-making.
• Monitor key pricing KPIs, including price realization, margin, discounting, and revenue performance.
• Support pricing strategies across products, markets, and customer segments.
• Conduct ad‑hoc analyses and business cases to assess the impact of pricing initiatives.
• Identify pricing anomalies and opportunities for margin improvement.
• Build and maintain analytical models to support pricing recommendations and scenario analysis.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product, and Data teams to ensure pricing decisions are aligned with business objectives.
• Present analytical findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and automation of pricing processes and analytical tools.

About The Requirement

Key Skills

• Experience in pricing analytics, revenue management, commercial analytics, business intelligence, or a similar analytical role.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience working with large datasets.
• A good understanding of pricing principles, profitability, and commercial performance.
• The ability to communicate complex analytical findings in a clear and compelling way.

• The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams.
