Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Solutions Architect to join our Infrastructure Services Practice. In this critical pre-sales role, you will be responsible for developing and articulating compelling infrastructure technology solutions for our clients across the entire IT infrastructure lifecycle. This includes consulting, assessment, design, deployment, migration, and operations. You will collaborate closely with sales, delivery, operations, and our partner/vendor ecosystem to understand and address the unique business, operational, and technical requirements of our customers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical foundation, excellent communication skills, and a passion for innovation, enabling them to craft leading-edge yet practical solutions.
Responsibilities:
Lead the technical aspects of the pre-sales process for Infrastructure Technology Services engagements.
Understand customer business drivers, challenges, and IT landscape to identify opportunities and develop tailored solutions.
Define and architect comprehensive infrastructure solutions that align with customer requirements, industry best practices, and emerging technologies.
Develop and present compelling technical proposals, solution architectures, and value propositions to customers.
Collaborate with sales teams to define solution strategies, pricing models, and commercial terms.
Respond to RFPs/RFIs, develop technical responses, and participate in client presentations and discussions.
Estimate effort, timelines, and resource requirements for proposed solutions.
Technical Leadership & Ownership:
Serve as the technical point of contact and subject matter expert for infrastructure solutions during the pre-sales phase.
Provide technical guidance and support to sales teams and customers.
Ensure the proposed solutions are technically feasible, scalable, secure, and cost-effective.
Maintain a strong understanding of current and emerging infrastructure technologies and trends.
Drive the development of reusable solution components, reference architectures, and best practices.
Work closely with delivery and operations teams to ensure smooth transition from pre-sales to implementation and ongoing support.
Collaborate with peers across different practices (e.g., Cloud, Security, Applications) to create integrated and holistic solutions.
Engage with partners and vendors to leverage their technologies and offerings in our solutions.
Contribute to the development of new service offerings and solutions based on market trends and customer needs.
Actively participate in knowledge sharing and internal training initiatives.
Demonstrate a proactive approach to learning and adopting new technologies and methodologies.
Customer Interaction:
Build and maintain strong relationships with customer technical stakeholders.
Effectively communicate technical concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Conduct workshops and discovery sessions to gather requirements and validate proposed solutions.
Address customer technical queries and concerns effectively
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience (typically 8+ years) in IT infrastructure, with a significant focus on pre-sales solution architecture.
Deep understanding and hands-on experience across a broad range of infrastructure technologies, including but not limited to:
Compute: Servers (on-premise and virtualized), hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI).
Storage: SAN, NAS, object storage, backup and recovery solutions.
Cloud Technologies: IaaS, PaaS, SaaS offerings from major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Automation & Orchestration: Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible), scripting languages.
Monitoring & Management Tools: System monitoring, logging, and analytics platforms.
Strong understanding of ITIL framework and service management principles.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual thinking skills.
Exceptional communication (written and verbal), presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
Willingness to travel as required.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, VMware VCP, Cisco CCNA/CCNP).
Experience with specific industry verticals.
Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF).
Experience with developing cost models and TCO analysis.
Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices.
Experience with security best practices and frameworks.
