Job summary

Sika in India is seeking a Prebatching Technician-STP for the Chakan-Pune location to support cleaning, raw-material prep, and line readiness for batching according to WI & SOPs. You will ensure safe handling, 5S housekeeping, and proper movement of materials and pots through interstations.

The ideal candidate holds a Graduate/Diploma/B.Sc/MSc with 0–5 years in chemical manufacturing, and is willing to work in rotational shifts. Experience with HMI on automated lines is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate, B.Sc/ M.Sc / Diploma in any stream.
• 0-3 years experience in chemical manufacturing plant.
• 3-5 years experience in chemical manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning & preservation of mixer, Pot & small parts.
• Cleaning of packaging line and preparation of packaging line.
• Following safety and health procedures per EHS guidelines.
• Ensure effective housekeeping following 5S standards.
• Preparation of RM & PM for batch manufacturing following WI & SOPs.

Overview:

• This Position will be responsible for cleaning and preservation of mixer, Packaging line, pot preparation and other accessories.
• Raw material preparation for manufacturing batches under supervision by following safety standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cleaning & preservation of mixer, Pot & small parts.
• Cleaning of packaging line and preparation of packaging line for packaging of FG in supervision.
• Following all the safety and health procedures laid down as well as disposal norms to protect environment as per the EHS guidelines.
• Ensure effective housekeeping of shop floor and equipment’s following 5S standards.
• Preparation of packaging line for packaging of FG.
• Should be having knowledge of HMI for operating of Automated line.
• Bulk batch manufacturing by following WI & SOP’s
• Packaging of bulk batch by following WI & SOP’s
• Preparation of Pot for batch manufacturing & packaging and its movement to interstation’s.
• Should be having knowledge of HMI for operating of Automated lines.
• Good experience in chemical handling & knowledge of PPE.
• Packaging of bulk batch by following WI & SOP’s
• Performing autonomous maintenance and reporting to supervisor for any abnormalities
• Preparation of RM & PM for batch manufacturing following safety standard and best practices.
• To strictly follow the systems and procedure as per IATF 16969, ISO 9001 / 14001/45001
• Experience in Batch process will be preferred.
• Must be willing to work in rotational shifts.
• Should have batch process experience.
• Ensure sufficient availability of RM and PM as per plan on the shop floor

Qualifications/Experience:

• Graduate, B.Sc/ M.Sc / Diploma in any stream
• 0-3 years in experience in Chemical manufacturing plant.

Functional & Behavioral Competencies:
Experience of handling chemical powder & solvents in sealant or adhesive plant.
Experience in handling in equipment’s like BOPT, HOPT.
Punctual and obedient.
Good organizing skills to reduce delays in between processes.
Good learning skills and can perform as per need for process.

Qualifications

Qualifications/Experience:
Graduate/Diploma/B.Sc/Msc
3-5 years in experience in Chemical manufacturing plant. Experience of handling of powders &
liquid solvents.
