Job summary

Nord Anglia Education in Bengaluru seeks a dedicated assistant to support a Pre-Primary Teacher in planning and conducting classroom activities. You will help supervise and guide children during learning, playtime, routines, and group activities, while creating a safe, welcoming classroom environment.

You will assist with materials, observations, and communications with teachers and parents to support each child's development and well-being. A caring, proactive approach is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Pre-Primary Teacher in planning and conducting classroom activities.
• Support children during learning activities, playtime, and group activities.
• Help create a safe, happy, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Assist children with basic routines such as eating, toileting, handwashing, and personal hygiene.
• Observe children's behaviour and progress and share relevant observations with the class teacher.
• Prepare and organize teaching-learning materials, worksheets, and classroom resources.
• Encourage children to participate in activities and develop social, emotional, and communication skills.
• Provide individual attention and support to children who need additional assistance.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom and learning areas.
• Communicate professionally and positively with teachers, parents, and other staff members.
• Follow all school policies, child-safety procedures, and safeguarding guidelines.
• Support the teacher in maintaining proper classroom records and documentation.
• Ensure the safety, well-being, and comfort of all children at all times.
