Ameriprise India LLP invites a seasoned PMO Governance Leader to steer India-based governance for the Technology PMO. You will oversee portfolio health, demand intake, prioritization, and executive reporting while coordinating with U.S. leaders and delivery teams.
You will develop standards, SOPs, templates, and dashboards to enhance transparency, controls, and compliance across the portfolio, with a focus on fiscal discipline and delivery accountability.

Primary Purpose of Job Provide India-based leadership for the Technology PMO governance function, including portfolio governance, executive reporting, governance forums, operating discipline, and day-to-day leadership of the India governance team. This role partners with U.S.-based PMO leadership, Technology leaders, Finance, and delivery teams to support consistent governance execution, portfolio transparency, and audit-ready practices across the Technology portfolio.
Lead portfolio governance support for the Technology PMO, including demand intake, prioritization support, annual planning inputs, portfolio health tracking, and executive reporting. Ensure portfolio data, insights, and recommendations are accurate, timely, and actionable.
Support governance forums such as PRB, IRB, and CCB by managing agenda readiness, pre-read materials, decision documentation, action tracking, and follow-up. Prepare clear dashboards, reports, and summaries that support leadership decision-making.
Develop, maintain, and improve PMO frameworks, stage gate models, SOPs, templates, playbooks, and quality checklists to support consistent execution and governance compliance.
Reinforce governance standards for OnePlan data quality, status reporting, risk and issue management, time tracking, stage gate adherence, and evidence requirements. Monitor compliance and elevate gaps as needed.
Support PMO reporting and process automation through tools such as OnePlan, Power BI, SharePoint, and workflow solutions. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reporting accuracy, and portfolio visibility.
Drive adoption of PMO processes, tools, and reporting standards through stakeholder engagement, communications, training, adoption tracking, and continuous improvement.
Partner with PMO leadership, Technology leaders, Finance, delivery teams, and vendors to support governance execution, portfolio transparency, issue resolution, and decision readiness.
Serve as the India-based governance lead for coordinating work across India and U.S. teams. Maintain clear operating cadences, handoffs, documentation standards, escalation paths, and communication routines.
Lead, coach, and develop the India governance team by setting priorities, managing workload, monitoring delivery quality, resolving escalations, and supporting performance and capability development.
PMP, PgMP, CBAP, CCBA, ITIL, CSM, or other relevant project, portfolio, business analysis, technology, or process certification preferred.
14+ years of experience in project, program, portfolio, governance, or process management within a technology or enterprise environment, including direct portfolio management experience. Strong knowledge of PMO governance, portfolio management, SDLC, ITIL, financial tracking, risk and issue management, stage gate governance, and executive reporting. Demonstrated experience leading India-based, offshore, or globally distributed teams, including work allocation, coaching, quality management, escalation management, and delivery accountability. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills with the ability to work effectively across Technology, Finance, delivery teams, vendors, and senior leaders.
Experience with One Plan or similar PPM tools, Power BI, SharePoint, workflow automation, executive dashboards, and standardized governance reporting. Experience in Financial Services, Technology Infrastructure, regulated environments, policy/process development, or large global matrixed organizations preferred.
14+ years of experience in program, project, portfolio management, governance, or process management, including experience managing or supporting technology portfolios, portfolio health reporting, prioritization support, and executive-level portfolio insights.
