Job summary

Sigma Allied Services in Bangalore is seeking a Power System Engineer with 5–12 years of experience to work on transmission, distribution and renewable integration. The role requires BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with power-systems focus and hands-on PSSE, ETAP and PowerSafety experience.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering; power systems expertise preferred.
• 5–12 years of experience in power-system studies for utilities and renewables.
• Proficient with PSSE, ETAP, PowerSafety; knowledge of IEC/IEEE standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform power system studies for transmission, distribution, utilities and renewables.
• Conduct load flow, short-circuit, contingency and stability studies.
• Carry out RMS/EMT studies and power-quality analyses.
• Develop models using standard simulation tools and validate results.
• Support protection and relay coordination studies and deliver reports.

Experience: 5-12 years

Education

• Relevant engineering specialization in Electrical / Power Systems preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform power system studies for transmission, distribution, utility and renewable energy projects.
• Conduct load flow, short-circuit, contingency, stability and other network planning studies.
• Perform RMS and EMT-based system studies as required.
• Analyze power quality, harmonics and system performance.
• Carry out protection and relay coordination studies.
• Develop and validate power system models using industry-standard simulation tools.
• Apply relevant IEC and IEEE standards to engineering studies and design activities.
• Support integration studies for solar, wind and battery storage projects.
• Prepare technical reports, study documentation and engineering deliverables.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve technical issues and deliver projects within timelines.
