Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb in Hyderabad is seeking a motivated Power Platform Engineer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade apps and automation using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI. You will partner with business users, IT, and citizen developers to deliver scalable solutions that meet enterprise standards.

Responsibilities include building canvas and model-driven apps, automating workflows, modeling data with DAX, configuring data gateways, and supporting ALM and deployment

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience designing and implementing Power Platform solutions.
• Solid understanding of Power Platform architecture and integration with Dataverse and Azure services.
• Strong Power BI development including report/dashboard design, DAX, data modeling, and dataflows.
• Familiarity with ALM and deployment pipelines within Power Platform.
• Microsoft certifications PL-100/200/400 are highly desirable; PL-300 is a plus.

Position:

Position Summary We are seeking a motivated and technically proficient Power Platform Engineer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications and automation solutions using Microsoft Power Platform. This role will focus on building and enhancing Power Apps, Power Automate flows, and Power BI reports to improve operational efficiency and enable data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will work closely with business users, IT teams, and citizen developers to deliver impactful solutions aligned with enterprise standards.

• Develop and maintain Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven) to meet business requirements.
• Build and optimize automated workflows using Power Automate.
• Design and develop Power BI reports and dashboards using best practices for usability, performance, and scalability.
• Develop and optimize Power BI semantic models and dataflows, including data modeling, relationships, measures, and calculated columns using DAX.
• Use Power Query to ingest, transform, and shape data from multiple sources to support analytics and reporting needs.
• Assist in managing Power Platform environments, solutions, and data policies.
• Support deployment pipelines and basic ALM practices under guidance from senior team members.
• Configure, manage, and optimize Power BI and Power Platform data gateways to ensure secure, reliable, and cost-effective connectivity in hybrid environments.
• Leverage AI Builder and Copilot capabilities to automate complex workflows, enhance predictive insights, and deliver intuitive user experiences.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical deliverables.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Power Platform solutions.
• Contribute to documentation, training materials, and user guides for end-users and citizen developers.
• Stay informed on Power Platform updates and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience designing and implementing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
• Solid understanding of Power Platform architecture, environment strategy, and integration capabilities across Dataverse and Azure services.
• Familiarity with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and deployment pipelines within Power Platform.
• Strong Power BI development experience, including report/dashboard design, DAX, data modeling, semantic models, dataflows, and workspace configuration.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and Databricks, with experience integrating Power Platform solutions into enterprise systems and Azure services.
• Strong foundation in data modeling and performance optimization, with experience supporting Power BI gateways in hybrid environments.
• Experience with AI Builder and Copilot for creating intelligent apps and workflows, leveraging AI models for document processing, prediction, and natural language capabilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to business stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

Preferred Certifications:

• Microsoft certifications such as PL-100, PL-200 or PL-400 are highly desirable.
• Power BI certification (PL-300) is a plus.
