Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled BI Developer and Data Engineer to join our team, responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing Business Intelligence (BI) platforms. This role will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards, as well as managing ETL processes and data integration frameworks. The ideal candidate will translate complex business requirements into actionable insights and ensure effective communication through data visualization. This position requires a strong background in SQL, data warehousing, and experience in financial services or related sectors.

Must Have Skillsets (Mandatory)

• BI Development Experience: Over 5 years of experience in BI application development, particularly using Power BI, SQL/PLSQL, and Microsoft BI Stack (SSAS, SSRS, SSIS).
• Power BI Expertise: Proficient in developing and administering Power BI dashboards, including advanced DAX queries, data modeling, and UI/UX best practices.
• SQL and Data Warehousing: Strong experience with Oracle SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and data warehousing concepts, including ETL processes and data modeling.
• Data Engineering: Experience in designing and maintaining ELT processes, data integration frameworks, and working with structured and unstructured data.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent ability to translate complex data into informative visuals and reports, with strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Finance Domain Knowledge: Experience in financial services, banking, or related industries, with a strong understanding of finance‑related BI requirements.

Good to Have Skillsets (Optional)

• Programming Languages: Familiarity with C#, Java, HTML, Python, and other programming languages.
• Additional BI Tools: Experience with MicroStrategy, OBIEE, Crystal Reports, and other BI tools.
• Big Data and Cloud Technologies: Knowledge of Hadoop, Cosmos, Azure, AWS, Data Bricks, MS Synapse, and other cloud platforms and big data technologies.
• Application Migration and Automation: Experience in migrating PowerBuilder applications, administering APPEON Cloud Pro, and automating data processes using APIs.
• Certifications: Power BI certification, and familiarity with tools such as Azure Data Factory and Informatica.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5‑8 years of experience in BI development and data engineering, with a focus on financial services or fintech industries.
• Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in Power BI, SQL, Microsoft BI Stack, and Oracle PL/SQL, with knowledge of cloud platforms and data integration tools.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications in Power BI, data engineering, or related technologies are preferred.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, technical writing, and presentation skills. A team player with the ability to work independently and manage projects end‑to‑end.
