Job summary

Sopr a Steria USA is seeking an experienced Power Apps Developer to design, develop, and deliver enterprise-grade applications on the Microsoft Power Platform. You will build scalable Canvas Apps, create Power Automate solutions, and design Dataverse-based apps while coordinating with business stakeholders across geographies.

The ideal candidate has 4–6 years of Power Platform experience, strong governance and ALM knowledge, and holds PL-900 and PL-400 certifications.

Qualifications

Job Description

Purpose of the Position:We are looking for an experienced Power Apps Developer to design, develop, and deliver enterprise-grade business applications using the Microsoft Power Platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for building scalable Canvas Apps, developing complex Power Automate solutions, designing Dataverse-based applications, and creating custom components.

This role requires someone who is comfortable working directly with business stakeholders across multiple geographies, can independently analyse business requirements, propose technical solutions, and proactively recommend process improvements. The ideal candidate should be self-driven, customer-focused, and capable of taking ownership of solutions from design through deployment and support.

Technical Requirements:

1. Strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps (Canvas Apps), Power Automate, Dataverse, AI Builder, Microsoft Copilot Studio, and Power BI integration.


2. Strong experience working with Dataverse, SharePoint as databases, including data modelling, tables, relationships, business rules, security roles, and data governance.


3. Experience integrating Power Platform solutions with SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Microsoft Forms, SQL Server, Microsoft 365 services, REST APIs, Microsoft Graph API, Custom Connectors, and external systems.


4. Strong knowledge of Power Fx, REST APIs, SPFx, Power Platform security, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), OAuth 2.0 authentication, and the Power Apps Component Framework (PCF).


5. Experience implementing Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) using Solutions, Environment Variables, Connection References, Power Platform Pipelines, Azure DevOps/Git, and deployments across Development, UAT, and Production environments.


6. Good understanding of Power Platform governance, licensing, solution management, and application performance optimisation.


7. Experience troubleshooting production issues, performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and optimising application performance, scalability, and maintainability.


8. Ability to produce technical documentation, deployment guides, and support documentation to ensure solution maintainability.


9. Must hold Microsoft PL-900 (Power Platform Fundamentals) and PL-400 (Power Platform Developer Associate) certifications.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, deliver High-quality solutions, and ensure adherence to Microsoft Power Platform governance and best practices.


2. Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Canvas Apps and complex Power Automate workflows.


3. Develop reusable components using the Power Apps Component Framework (PCF) where required.


4. Implement role-based security and data validation within applications.


5. Take ownership of solutions from design through development, testing, deployment, and production support


6. Perform testing, support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), troubleshoot production issues, and resolve incidents within agreed SLAs.


7. Optimise application performance, maintain code quality, and ensure adherence to Power Platform governance and best practices.


8. Create and maintain technical documentation, deployment guides, and support artifacts while ensuring solution scalability, maintainability, and compliance with organizational standards.

Total Experience Expected: 04-06 years

Qualifications

Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
