Job summary

Worldwide Clinical Trials is seeking a product/portfolio manager to oversee the intake and prioritization of ideas across global teams. You will coordinate with business partners, sponsors, and delivery teams to ensure timely triage and clear communication of prioritization decisions.

The role requires a degree plus at least three years in a related field, with strong English communication, and a track record in clinical drug development environments or software deployment.

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent and with at least 3 years’ experience in a related field.
  • Experience of the clinical drug development environment including software development and deployment preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of guidelines and regulations for design and deployment of technologies in clinical development.

  • Facilitate data‑driven decisions using analytics and user insights for feature optimization.
  • Ensure specifications are agreed with sponsors and liaise across technology and medical colleagues.

SUMMARY

Manages ideas submitted through the portfolio intake process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Tasks may include, but are not limited to: Manage the review and prioritization process for ideas submitted by Worldwide teams through the portfolio management system. Responsible for ensuring that all ideas are reviewed and triaged. Work with idea submitters to gather necessary data to allow review committee to properly assess all ideas. Organizes ideas and leads meetings with the business partners to prioritize ideas and then informs delivery partners (internal or external) of prioritization. Maintain a working understanding of customer needs, behaviors, and pain points to inform product decisions and enhancements. Stay abreast of industry trends and competitive situations; proposing, developing and leading innovation initiatives; supporting business development and sponsors. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in product management to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge. Contribute and facilitate data-driven decisions, leveraging analytics and user insights to assist with the optimization of product features and drive continuous improvement. As applicable, ensure solution specifications are agreed with sponsors and internal colleagues. Ensure self and team liaise with technology and other scientific/medical colleagues. Maintain positive communications and interactions within and across teams to deliver an integrated approach with other departments. Ensure functionality, specifications, data collection interfaces and data reporting tools are developed and specified. Perform other duties as assigned. The duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

A good standard of written and spoken English. Excellent project management skills with ability to work to and direct project plans. Able to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously; flexible and able to use sound independent judgment and take initiative to assess information. Proven leadership and management skills.

REQUIREMENTS

Educated to degree level or equivalent and with at least 3 years’ experience in a related field. Experience of the clinical drug development environment including experience in software development and application deployment is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail are essential. Good knowledge of guidelines and regulations relevant to the design and deployment of technologies and programming in clinical development programs. Promotion to the next level is not automatic based on years of experience. Personnel are evaluated on proven competency, level of responsibility, and ability to work independently.
