Job summary

Sonata Software is seeking an experienced Playwright - Full Stack Test Automation Engineer with UI testing to join our QA team in India. You will develop and execute automated and manual test scenarios for web and mobile apps, with emphasis on UI quality, cross‑browser compatibility, and responsive behavior.

The role requires 8–12 years of experience in UI test automation using Python/Java/JavaScript, proficiency with Playwright or Robot Framework, and strong collaboration in Agile environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of UI test automation experience using Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Strong manual UI testing experience across web and mobile.
• Hands-on Jira and defect lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with browser compatibility and DevTools.
• Experience with Playwright and/or Robot Framework.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain test scenarios based on requirements.
• Perform manual UI testing of web/mobile apps focusing on UI and cross-browser compatibility.
• Identify, document, and retest defects using Jira with developers.
• Use browser DevTools to inspect UI elements and validate fixes.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and provide quality feedback.

Job Title- Playwright -Full Stack Test Automation Engineer with UI testing

Location- Bangalore/Hyderabad/ Chennai

Exp:8-12Yrs

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, execute, and maintain test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts based on requirements and user stories.
• Perform manual testing of web and mobile applications, focusing on UI functionality, responsiveness, and cross-browser/device compatibility, especially Chrome.
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects using Jira, collaborating with development teams to resolve issues.
• Use browser DevTools to inspect UI elements, analyze console logs, troubleshoot issues, and validate fixes.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and provide test reports and quality feedback to stakeholders.

Required Skills:

• Strong experience in manual UI testing of web and mobile applications.
• Hands‑on experience with Jira and defect lifecycle management.
• Good understanding of browser compatibility, responsive UI testing, and browser DevTools.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills.
• 6+ years of UI test automation experience using Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Hands‑on experience with Robot Framework or Playwright.
• Experience in API/CLI automation, Selenium, Appium, and Git.
• Familiarity with Bitbucket, Confluence, or other ALM tools.
