Job summary

Algoleap Technologies Pvt Ltd is seeking a QA Automation Engineer in Hyderabad to design and implement robust automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver with Java and Cucumber.

You will drive automated testing across functional, regression, and end-to-end scenarios, integrate with Azure DevOps, and mentor junior team members in an Agile Scrum environment. Experience with API testing and database validation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver with Java and Cucumber.
• Create and execute automated tests for functional, regression, end-to-end, and smoke testing.
• Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Develop reusable automation components, utilities, and libraries to improve test efficiency.
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent.
• Validate backend data through SQL queries and database testing.
• Analyze requirements and write comprehensive test scenarios and cases.
• Identify defects, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with development teams.
• Review automation code and enforce best practices and naming conventions.
• Monitor execution results, maintain test metrics, and generate quality reports.
• Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and mentor junior QA engineers.
• Support performance, security, and accessibility testing when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using:
  • Selenium WebDriver with Java
  • Cucumber BDD Framework
• Create and execute automated test scripts for:
  • Functional Testing
  • Regression Testing
  • End-to-End Testing
  • Smoke and Sanity Testing
• Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and support release validation activities.
• Develop and maintain reusable automation components, utilities, and libraries to improve test efficiency and scalability.
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent technologies.
• Validate backend data through SQL queries and database testing.
• Analyze application requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to create comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
• Identify defects, perform root cause analysis, track issues, and collaborate with development teams for timely resolution.
• Review automation code and enforce testing best practices, naming standards, and framework guidelines.
• Monitor automation execution results, maintain test metrics, and generate quality reports for stakeholders.
• Participate actively in Agile Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the QA organization.
• Support performance, security, and accessibility testing initiatives when required.

• Exposure to Power BI, Grafana, or analytics/reporting platforms is a plus.
