Skilled and proactive Playwright Designer and Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of a robust test automation framework using Playwright. This role is ideal for someone passionate about quality engineering, automation architecture, and continuous integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect a scalable and maintainable test automation framework using Playwright.
- Implement end-to-end automated test suites for web applications across multiple browsers and platforms.
- Integrate the framework with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
- Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and product managers to define test strategies and coverage.
- Maintain and enhance the framework to support evolving application features and technologies.
- Ensure high performance, reliability, and reusability of test scripts.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other QA team members.
- Document framework architecture, usage guidelines, and best practices.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in designing and implementing test automation frameworks using Playwright.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript (or Python if applicable).
- Experience with CI/CD tools and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Familiarity with test reporting tools and dashboards.
- Solid understanding of software testing principles, including functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Experience with REST APIs and backend testing is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with other automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) is a bonus.
- Knowledge of containerisation (Docker) and cloud environments.
